Staying at Marco’s place was truly exceptional. The cleanliness, the spacious rooms, the views, and Marco’s friendly attitude towards us were incredible. During our stay we only ate breakfasts, lunches & dinners at Lani's Gourmet Restaurant - all excellent. Access to beach was very good and no traffic noise. All staff were warm and welcoming "a family". We made use of the beauty salon, staff were considerate to our needs, relaxed ambiance, creating a fully pleasurable experience.

Everything was beyond expectations! The hotel is huge, we’ll maintained, very comfortable not to mention beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was large, very comfortable and impeccably clean. There are many pools so none is full and you can enjoy it. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. All good was fresh and tasty. The restaurants inside of the hotel were very good as well, especially Kampai. We had a great experience there.

I loved everything! Starting with the location of the hotel "pieds dans l'eau "with an infinity pool and two jacuzzis directly overlooking the sea, an easy access to the near beaches, lush greenery and palm trees all over and littlevm nooks set up in the garden. The food quality was excellent, the buffet was very varied and changed every day of the week, mumtopled healthy options too, there are two other restaurants available à la carte. The atmosphere in the evening was, calm, cozy and romantic with live violin players or a saxophonists. The decor of the the of the hotel was to my taste, it is modern exotic with a touch of originality, "du charme" et "du cachet". The even most pleasant thing was the customer service, the staff is really very well trained, very polite, attentive and anticipated my needs.

Breakfast and dinner buffet were exceptionally good. All staff at the restaurant, reception, lounge bars were all so kind and helpful. The reception area was impressive. The rooms were fantastic. Spacious shower. All furnishings throughout the whole hotel were tastefully finished. I simply can't understand previous negative reviews....they just don't sum up.

The Island Out of This Planet

Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. Really spacious and well laid out complex. Great choice of food at the buffet restaurants, we tried the main restaurant, the Italian and the Asian (the last one is booked online). Really liked how well run the poolside buffet snack bar was if you just wanted a light bite rather than the main buffet lunch option and great for an early morning coffee! Easy walk to the local marina which is gorgeous for a morning out and a convenient location for a trip to Timanfaya National Park. Will definitely be back!

Lots of restaurants and shops. Wide boulevard for walking along the coast. Beaches are small but sandy. Not gritty like some beaches. Plenty of supermarkets. I hear there’s a good hospital and treatment good and quick.

The resort square was lovely and had many choices of restaurants. Everywhere was clean and felt very safe. Food was reasonably priced and beach and main promenade very pleasant to walk around. I would definitely recommend this resort- try Divina Italia for great Italian or La Hacienda for fun Mexican food

Although a capital city, it's very walkable.

Although a capital city, it's very walkable. The lagoon (Charco de San Gines) is a lovely spot for restaurants, cafes etc., and people watching. The beach at El Retiro was closed for bathing on our visit. Apparently sun beds and umbrellas are due to make a return in early 2026. There is a variety of shops in the centre (and a big shopping mall about 15 minutes' walk away, not far from the bus station). There's not a huge amount to do - a couple of small museums, but otherwise some nice walks along the coastal promenade, and plenty of eating and drinking. It's low-rise, and wasn't too busy in early December. The Nao Cerveza brewery tap is worth a visit for craft beer lovers.

And fantastic coffee shop/bakery. The only not very nice restaurant was L'ermita. They need some lessons in manners and customer service however next door the small Spanish tapas bar of Arrayate un Millo makes up for it, even though they don't speak any English the service and food was excellent.

Playa Honda is great, we have been a few times now and is our favourite place in Lanzarote. Close to the airport, non touristy, nice people, good shops and restaurants and is safe and welcoming. Can easily get to other places for nights out and has a brilliant cycling promenade.

Where we stayed in Yaiza was very quiet. A great location for a large group like ours but a must is to have a hire car to enable you to travel freely in and out of more lively areas around the island.

It’s a very quiet town.

It’s a very quiet town. None of the glitz of the more famous places which suited us very well. The beach is epic. There’s a volcano pretty near in the national park. We are at two of the restaurants. Very good fish platters and burgers available. We hired a car for exploring the island. Famara is so small you can easily walk round it. Surfing and boogie boarding available.

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.

Puerto Calero is a lovely small port with great bars and...

Puerto Calero is a lovely small port with great bars and eateries, it is a little quieter and dare I say, a bit more ‘up market’ than most of the other resorts in Lanzarote but this is what we like the most about it. It is well positioned for exploring the rest of the island with a good local road network so driving is very easy, I would 100% recommend trying this area for a holiday.
