Haria is a charming little village, which has the feel of an oasis in the desert. The hotel is a lovingly restored villa, with character and a peaceful ambience, conveniently located with a separate parking space. The breakfast is served like a menu, with starters (yoghurt, fresh fruits, muesli), followed by a choice of different types of toasts (with salmon, avocado, nuts, cheeses) and eggs, followed by a choice of cake as and homemade orange marmelade. The hotel is absolutely stunning all throughout the property. The staff was amazing, so friendly and made the best mojitos by the pool! Location right on the beach. Just felt so luxurious . The breakfast spread was the largest I have ever seen in all of my world travels. First girls trip here and we will be back!

The Island Out of This Planet

Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. Its out-of-this-world appearance, due to volcanic eruptions of the 18th and 19th centuries, earns Lanzarote a well-deserved spot in the sci-fi film sets list.

The island has the longest volcanic submerged tunnel in the world (1,500 metres), the Tunnel de la Atlantida, which boasts the amazing Cueva de los Verdes lava tube with walls illuminated by coloured lights.

    Lovely welcome at this beautiful hotel as soon as we arrived. This was our 2nd time here and we hope to return again. It has such a lovely relaxing feel to the place. Our room was spacious and comfortable, nice quiet air con which was badly needed when we were there. You can't hear noise from any other rooms so we slept really well every night. The breakfast in the morning has plenty of choice to suit everyone, both hot & cold food is fresh and plentiful. Pool is lovely and a perfect temperature. People still get up at crazy hours to put their towels on seats around the pool but there really is no need as they are plentiful and you will get one at any time of the day, staff also keep an eye that towels are not left with no-one on them for hours which is great. The location is perfect for us. A short taxi journey to old town etc but just beside the hotel there are plenty of shops, restaurants & bars and the beach is just across the road and is just beautiful so you don't need to go to far for anything. It's a very safe area to go on nice long walks at any time of the day/night. The airport is a short 10min taxi journey away so very handy to get to. Can't say enough good things about this place and will hopefully be returning again soon.

    We really enjoyed the location near Faro Park. It’s away from the busy centre of Playa Blanca, but still very convenient with a hire car, a short walk to the bus route, or a quick taxi ride to the town and Rubicón Marina. The villa is also close to the beautiful coastal walkway from the lighthouse to the marina, which was a real highlight and made for a lovely daily walk. The facilities were excellent, especially the private pool, outdoor BBQ area, and the lovely rooftop terrace with sea views. Inside, the villa was very well equipped and comfortable, and the host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions

    Alava Suites is a professionally designed and run place where you can slow down at a high level of comfort. Teguise is easily accessible by car (restaurants couple of minutes away). The breakfast menu is creatively selected and special, preprared from fresh and tasty ingredients. The stuff is extremely friendly and professional. The room and the whole facility were perfectly clean. We really want to go back to this wonderful place.

    From our hotel to playa blanca itself it was approximately a 15min walk. We tended to walk on the prom but for a good few sections of it, there was no cobbled stones at all only sections of broken up stone making it very difficult for walking. For anyone with mobility problems , its extremely difficult to manage it. Playa Blanca itself has a great variety of restaurants and cafes and clothes shops also. As well as the port for catching the ferries to Gran Canaria and Fuerventura. We are in a restaurant everyday called LA Bahia. The food was beautiful. Unbelievable variety there from normal to Chinese to fish dishes and the staff....just excellent . Great memories from this restaurant.

    I have been to Costa Teguise many times, to be fair I was somewhat disappointed this time, it has become more like Benidorm. Numerous Irish Bars, four or five curry houses, English breakfasts everywhere and lots of rather drunk people around. Dont get me wrong there was no trouble but not what I previously experienced.

    Visited many times but never stayed for any time in Arrecife - so we half knew what to expect and was hoping we would discover where there may have been a few more "local" restaurants and music bars and venues ideally somewhere where we could have listened to local artists. Not keen on Irish bars which make a feature of Irish music and karaoke - not the sort of music we were seeking out and fortunately we did not find any Irish bars in Arrecife. They are well hidden!! Was also hoping to discover a few more "locals" restaurants in the back streets but really only found a good Mexican La Lupe Cantina on C. Coronel Bens. You need to wander over to El Charco for the best choice of restaurant. Taxis easy to get and the Lanzarote Bus is useful - when the bus drivers are not working to rule and the app actually contains data that is useful. Enjoyed our time there!

Just love it. We enjoy walking, so a nice 40 minute walk takes you into Arrecife, or you can get a bus into Costa Teguise or Matagorda, hire a bike and cycle along the path both ways.... La Opera, Goliath's, Bechamell restaurants are lovely, good prices and lots of choice. It really is a piece of heaven on earth in Playa Honda.

    A small town with plenty of people around using the facilities for their daily life. Not a lot of choice of places to eat but enough the fakily run Spanish Taverna was amazing this I would recommend the best value ever and so friendly. Shut on a Sunday so you are warned lol!!!

    Where we stayed in Yaiza was very quiet. A great location for a large group like ours but a must is to have a hire car to enable you to travel freely in and out of more lively areas around the island.

    I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.

    very quiet, everything shut by 10pm, we like a bit of late nioght drinks or music when on holiday, but we also like relaxation and quiet which it was. Restaurants superb, not as cheap as surrounding area's but lovely

    Wonderful little town sit in the past, no noises apart from the sea and the wind. Breataking cliff as a background, wonderful sand beach for spectacular walks! The town has dirt roads, it seems belonging to another time, enchanting, white, no advertisement as Manrique (the local artist of Lanzarote) worked with politicians to keep a visual decor (all hourses withe, two floors only, no advertisment). It was paradise for me! Just being there and admire the athmosphere!
