Breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and local food options. The swimming pool was clean and spacious; there were several garden areas to enjoy the silence whilst lying down in your hammock. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. The room has all sort of facilities and is comfortable and quiet.

We loved the location of the hotel on the sea front. Our room was very comfortable with a superb view across the bay. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It was excellent value for money and a lovely place to spend the night while exploring the Rias Baixas.

The calm setting. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area is charming. Lovely to sit by the pool and relax and have a drink. The restaurant serves lovely food either from the A la carte or the daily memu. Both are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good breakfast as well. A great place to chill for a few days.

Excellent value for money. Well looked after hotel with good staff and facilities. The breakfast was particularly good. It is right in the centre of town within easy reach of bars and restaurants and the hotel even has a pool.

Nice town and pretty good hotel.

Nice town and pretty good hotel. Only one complain - I stayed in room 311. Some freaky internal designer placed a shelf above the sitting place of the desk. On getting up from the chair I smashed my head in that shelf. It still hurts! fortunately I have a strong head. Please remove that shelf. Next guest may have a weaker head....

I was travelling back from Porto to Potes via the coast on...

I was travelling back from Porto to Potes via the coast on my Motorbike. Really good hotel. Clean, quiet and the breakfast was excellent The Tolls getting to this location from Porto was a pain but the hotel quality and views made the trip worth it

Some good hotels, good options to eat in O'Grove and...

Some good hotels, good options to eat in O'Grove and elsewhere on the peninsula. Sculpture trail around end of Rua Reboredo and a Museum of Fishing and Aquarium. Had a great meal at the Arroceria a Lanzada on south side. O'Grove had a funfair and was really busy so good to find other places sometimes. Took dayboat out to Isla Salvora which was great and had mussles and wine on board on the way back.

O Grove is effectively a small island which you can visit by...

O Grove is effectively a small island which you can visit by car very easily. There is a lovely viewpoint called “Miradoiro da Siradella” which is just a few minutes’ drive up the hill in the south-east of the island, and plenty of quiet sandy beaches to die for – remember that the temperature of the water is always on the cold side. A little research shows that, based on historical data over a period of ten years, the warmest water in mid-August in O Grove was recorded in 2012 and was 19.1°C, and the coldest was recorded in 2007 at 15.8°C. So, to swim you need to be comfortable with that (i.e., quite a few people do not do it). Nevertheless, if you want to escape from the south-of-Spain kind of climate, this is for you and it actually feels very regenerating being able to sleep at night, perhaps with a light duvet, or walk in the town centre streets in the evening with a jumper, even in August.

This little fisher village from former days has evolved into...

This little fisher village from former days has evolved into an elegant place to stay, with lots of facilities and accomodations. The right place for relaxing in a beautiful landscape near the Atlantic Ocean. There are lots of clean beaches, bike lanes and walking paths for outdoor activities. Special highlight: Praia de Pedras Negras in San Vicente! Organised boat trips are offered for exploring the Ria de Arousa. And last but not least: The fresh seafood on the table. Closeby, the tiny island La Toja, with ist famous soap factory and Gran Hotel are worth a visit.
