Lovely modern, comfortable, and quiet hotel that we have previously stayed at several times before. Excellent boulangerie and wine shop next door, as well as several resturants and McDonalds. Good breakfast. Much better than present twice the price 4 star Novatel in Bordeaux that has no breakfast. Many lovely beaches to visit nearby.

The restaurant is great, and I enjoyed the breakfast as well. The hotel is at walking distance to the railway station and the metro for Spain. The hotel is also close to the city and cinema and buses. Great view on the mountains.

In a pretty village. Easily accessible to restaurants/bars etc. The owner was there to meet us when we arrived and directed us to a parking space. She helped with luggage and was very welcoming. Great breakfast in the morning. Plenty of choice.

Fantastic location in the centre of Saint Jean de Luz, close to the bus and train station so very easy to visit the surrounding areas (San Sebastian, Guéthary, Biarritz,...). Close to the beach, the shops, very clean, staff extremely helpful. They even had a shower that we were able to use after checkout and after going to the beach !

An oasis of peace, calm and birdsong situated in landscaped grounds on a peaceful lake. We heard nothing at all from the airport which is very close on the map. Helpful staff, beautiful bedrooms, a stunning restaurant and breakfast room overlooking the water and a perfect pool for swimming, lying in the sun or relaxing. A truly exceptional destination - we will definitely return.

Where do I start! The house and its grounds are just beautiful and every inch has been thoughtfully decorated with the addition of carefully curated artwork, ornaments and lighting. Arrival was very smooth and we were shown around the villa and then to our room. We stayed in Le Vue which is right at the top of the house and so benefits from having 4 walls of magnificent windows. The room was light and airy and from the bed you could look out on to the bay and see the ebb and flow of the tide (I highly recommend spend the night with all the blinds up and the doors open to witness the sunrise and to listen to the waves and the hypnotising frog chorus) The hotel has an amazingly well equip kitchen that guests are welcome to use to cook their own food (or a chef can be provided on request) There is also an honesty policy so you can help your self to drinks and just tally what you have had. There is a comfy lounge area and my favourite a dark and cosy library with laddered shelf’s. The garden has a natural pool, sauna and sunbathing areas and a sweet little gate leads straight out on to the beach. I highly recommend heading to the beach and walking left to the old port where you will happen across the cutest fishing shack style restaurant which serves up amazing food. The lads there were super friendly and spoke great English. Nothing is too much trouble for Karin and her team and they really do encourage you to treat villa Tosca as a home from home. We will definitely be heading back.

Amazing location Amazing restaurant. michelin star standard food, complete surprise. Amazing Spa, had very good massage and chilled in the pool, sauna and steam room Right nest to the Lake, views are so good, 3 minute walk to Culs Nuls beach next door to the mighty La Graviere, best peak on the beach in Hossegor, for a surfer and non surfer couple this hotel was epic. Will be back for sure

All is impeccable. Cozy hotel right in the city center. Very convenient location, clean room, friendly personnel. The cleanliness of the streets, the lively spirit of the residents, architecture from French colonial days were some of the unforgettable aspects. In off season, some restaurants are not open or on hiatus, but there were enough good quality establishments. Walking tours are easy, if you are ready for stairs and inclines here and there.

A beautiful little town with a gorgeous old town, lovely river. amazing covered market and cathedral. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops, beautiful squares to sit and drink coffee/wine in, and plenty going on. Can't recommend highly enough for a couple of days, and so easy to get in and out of the airport. Wish we'd had longer!

Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a very pleasant little town on the South-west coast of France. Its beach is nicely sheltered from the wild Bay of Biscay, making it safe and attractive. We stayed in a central hotel with easy access to some lovely bars and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. It's an easy drive into the countryside; we climbed a mountain called Larrun, part of the Pyrenees, then easily back to St Jean de Luz for a swim and out for dinner! Also some good local shops.

Not much. Its listed as 4 star. The property needs a complete renovation. Plus, with today's technology and the WiFi is non existant. On my first night I was not given WiFi. They were correct. Its less than 1 bar and you cannot stream. I would not stay again

For me, my opinion usually starts from the first greeting and at this hotel, the service was immediately friendly and personal. The local area is lovely to explore and the hotel is well located for this, and in a quiet part of the town near to the seafront.

This was a total disaster!

This was a total disaster! No keys available where they informed to be. Finally in: no cleaning at all, no bed ware, rubbish everywhere. Horrible staff, not even came to see us. Spoke only French which I hardly understood. We booked another hotel for that night. We made a reclamation to Booking wanting to reemburse of our money.

This town has a great beach, an active fishing port, a proper hypermarket (Carrefour) and loads of street restaurants. It's pleasant to walk around and feels safe at night. Unfortunately the restaurants are all at tourist prices and all feature local cuisine with pretty much zero acceptance that the world may have some vegetarians who might want to eat something other than a salad. Asian restaurants are usually a safe fallback in such situations, but Ciboure doesn't have any (not even take-aways!), which is just weird. There is a pizza take-away, but it's well away from the centre.

Lovely, long beach.

Lovely, long beach. Quieter than St Jean de Luz, but still with a good choice of small restaurants, often specialising in fish/seafood. Good public transport links, not expensive, to be able to visit other nearby villages and towns of the Basque Country Lovely walk up over the headland, or instead -a little stroll along the promenade. Visited Hondaribbia in Spain by a very short boat trip that leaves from Hendaye port. Beautiful little village-nice pintxos in the restaurants ! And good view from up by the castle. The historic little train de la Rhune up the mountainside not to be missed-but book ahead-it gets full. The chateau d’Abbadia is interesting.

Great place, the vibe is amazing there. The village center is super charming. The beaches are beautiful, and you have a huge coast to beach walks if you like. Also, the lake there is really nice, I saw people swimming and paddling there, it looked fun, and walk around the lake is also great. The sea temperature was great when compared to what I am used to in Portugal. :) Everywhere you look you see surf! Really amazing vibe there.

Lovely town and area with lots to explore by foot, bike or car. Not sure on the public transport links as we drove. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Friendly people. Perfect for our family (with 2 boys aged 13 and 16)
