The apartments are very well equipped, clean and so cozy and the balconies give a fantastic mountain view. Everyone we met at the reception was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, they spontaneously offered us a free room upgrade upon arrival (2BR/2BR apartment instead of a studio) and we were allowed to delay the check-out on the day of departure because they did not expect new guests after us. The Spa and Pool area is also wonderful and it is open all day (9.30-20.00). The pool is large and warm and the jacuzzi, sauna and hammam are very enjoyable after a long day in the snow. Lastly, the location is just perfect, in the center of La Rosière , next to the tourist office, across the road of the supermarket and steps from plenty of good restaurants, bars, cafés and shops. The ski lifts are also just minutes away on foot and the free bus towards Les Eucherts and other parts of town stops right next door. Lastly, our son very much enjoyed the play room with plenty of children's games, puzzles and books to choose from. All in all just a wonderful family vacation! Thank you! La Thuile is a beautiful, quiet and family-friendly village. I visited with my girlfriend, so I didn't go looking for too many Après-Skis. La Rosiere is a ski resort high up the Petit St Bernard pass above Bourg St Maurice. La Rosiere is a large chalet-style modern building near the top end of the main street. Lovely French village split into two easily walkable areas. We stayed in Les Eucherts which is fab. Plenty of ski shops for rental choice. 10 mins walk to La Rosiere main area. Very pretty resort generally with incredible views. Highly recommend it for a range of ski abilities. Mostly blue and reds wide slopes. Not too busy at any time during week. Skiing in to Italy is easy and different and there’s a WW2 fort! Approx 3 hour transfer from Geneva Overall highly recommend this friendly stunning under rated French resort, easy to get around. La Thuile is a quiet resort with a decent number of good restaurants and nice shops selling local produce. The ski area is fantastic and the fact that you can ski into La Rosiere and it's ski area is brilliant. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the general Aosta valley areas are linked up and you can use a six day ski pass in specified other ski areas in the valley for two of those days, so there's a lot of variety. I'm also told that your ski pass gets you on to the ski bus services, and the Mont Blanc Skyway cable car (though I believe the cable car uses both of your 'non LaThuile' day passes - but it's a huge saving. It's super easy to get to by car from Turin, the atmosphere in the village is nice, the mountain bars and restaurants are good and reasonably priced.
