Small boutique hotel with a service truly above and beyond. Just one example: when I was driving up to the car park in front of the hotel, two staff members were already standing outside and waiting to grate me. Only downside I can think of is the breakfast can use some variety, however the bar has a lot of drinks to choose from , Including some excellent calavados.

We stayed here for 5 days four nights. It was a great location. We could walk for ice cream or dinner everyday and every night. I went to the beach often and found seaglass and really pretty stones. We had a couple massages that were great. We enjoyed the upstairs patio where we could lay out and read our books. The bartenders are very friendly and enjoyed having a drink every night.

Bayeux is a most interesting town to visit.

Bayeux is a most interesting town to visit. It has a fine cathedral ,a hugely extensive ww2 exhibition and cemeteries, many retail outlets , ( including probably one of the best LeClerc stores in the country) ,not to mention numerous quality restaurants not only in the town but also in neighbouring countryside and seaside towns and villages.Perhaps, above all ,it is the home of the famous Bayeux tapestry which is certainly worth a viewing but check up beforehand that it is so available. I understand that arrangements were in hand for moving the tapestry to the UK for a temporary exhibition.

Lovely beaches and lots of history. Numerous places of interest to visit and plenty of friendly restaurants serving wonderful local and international food. Embrace the culture and you're sure to have a wonderful time. I can recommend Le Phare and L'Accostage, whether for a meal or just a coffee and the Bar Terminal at the port also serves great food in a friendly atmosphere.

Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. Also not impressed with restaurant quality - more like cafes -with little sophisticated dining opportunities - Moules and Burgers dominate most menus!

Arromanches is the perfect base for visiting the D-Day beaches and many other interesting places around it. It has a good variety of restaurants and shops. The walk on top of the cliffs has nice views over the sea or one can walk in the other direction up the hill for different views and to the 360 degree circular cinema. We always go either in the spring or late autumn to avoid the worst ot the crowds., especially when one bus after another arrives at the D-Day Museum with visitors

Could not walk between the twin beds as the gap was too small. Toilet was dirty. Only one tea bag and one capsule of milk and one sugar for a room booked for 2 people. One of the connecting doors to the neighbouring room was insecure. The restaurant is only open on 4 days of the week and not at weekends. Cannot believe this was a 3 star hotel. Should definitely lose that status. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Will never book a Kyriad again.

Ouistreham is a ferry port - it is a small town, but a useful starting point for visiting attractions in the surrounding area. The Normandy landings beaches and sites that have associations with William the Conqueror are all easily reached from here. There are good fish restaurants in Ouistreham itself and in nearby coastal villages.
