Breakfast was excellent; great continental and appreciated the warm croissants and brioche. The spa was also very appreciated. When I went, the sauna was fantastic but the steam room was not quite hot enough. Nevertheless, it was relaxing and there was tea, nice showers and lockers. The room was very clean and modern, and a very good size. Good shower pressure!

We were treated so well by the staff - u believable We requested upgrade and boom !!! It was given Beautiful suite with two balconies and Mont balance icy view unbeatable! No matter what we requested was granted. They booked our tickets and helped us to make a nice trip to Annecy .. Hotel car , Porche no less was always available for pick up and drop in the city… wouldn’t stay anywhere else

What a place! Still sad I left. Gorgeous, classic hotel looking the valley and of course the mont blanc. The staff that welcomed us and that was there for the rest of the stay was kind and lovely. The room was big, clean and with everything needed for a stay. We dined at the restaurant, which was a unique gastronomic experience, that I’ll remember well. There too everyone was professional and kind, and the food original and good. When in Chamonix I will definitely come back to this marvelous hotel

The staff is really helpful, i asked them a lot of queations and requested things from them and they not only helped me with everything but also did it with a smile. We love the Hotel Aiguille du Midi, the family who runs this quaint and authentically French ski hotel welcome every guest into their family atmosphere. When one stays at the Hotel Aiguille du Midi they can imagine Chamonix fifty years ago, such a cool experience. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast spread every morning. The dinners were fantastic with the family staffing the floor and making sure every aspect was excellent for their guests, including gluten free preparations. If you want to stay at a hotel that you will feel like a member of an extended family when you leave this is the one for you.

Poco Loco was as good as ever.

Poco Loco was as good as ever. Tried Josephine for the first time and it was excellent food! There 20th - 23rd December. Chamonix was struggling for snow. Fine above the first gondola, but no snow below it. Sign of the times I suppose. Maybe Whistler Blackcomb for the next trip...

Did not get a chance to look around as we're travelling to Milan from London in bad weather with problems at the tunnel, quite elderly now so wanting to get to our destination without too much delay

Great location if you want to visit Chamonix and Swiss as well. Its 25 min to Mont Blanc and 30 to Martigny (SUI). Its super calm for families, frequent train will take you anywhere, no need to use car. Good if you want to have a calm holiday! In winter for sure great advantage - cablecar next to hotel.

Amazing.y awesome!

Amazing.y awesome! The city, restaurants and speciality shops were wonderful and within walking distance of our apartment just off the pedestrian zone. Food was delicious with lots of different offerings…Japanese, Turkish, local specialities like fondues and meats. Sho owners were friendly and helpful.

We were on a mission to revisit Parc de Merlet with our...

We were on a mission to revisit Parc de Merlet with our grandaughter thirty-six years after we took her mother. The Parc delivered, with Chamois, Mouflon and Marmots to enjoy. The views from accommodation on that side of the valley are the best in the valley. In Les Houches village, the local patisserie was visited and a different cake enjoyed every day. There were plenty of paths (including Tour de Mont Blanc) into the forest, for walks from the chalet. Wonderful Alpine wildlife is easy to find. It was convenient to take the free train into Chamonix and take a ride to Le Brevent then walk the ridge and back to the chalet. We did the Mer de Glas, to from Chamonix. We went up to Bellevue on the teleferique and walked across the alp, finding several wild flowers and even a rare Wart-Biter Grasshopper! We then took the Tramway du Mont Blanc down to Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains and had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful park. There was a very tough Via Ferrata for the over 70s (with 50 years experience) and a Go Ape-type circuit with a rock-climb included in the trail for the 10-year-old and her Mamma, then train back to Les Houches. One weekend evening was lively down in the village, but up on the hill we could sit out in relative calm and stare at the sunset on snowy Mont Blanc, stars and the torch-lights of mountaineers picking their way down. All-in-all, very relaxing.

when returning to area, i would probably not stay in Vallorcine, but in either Chamonix (where all the action is) or even Argentière which has excellent Le Fournil Chamoniard Patisserie (come early, by noon all the great stuff is finished) and grocery store . I found we had to drive out of Vallorcine for everything

Pros: The chalet is spacious, well located, and looks just like the photos. Beautiful surroundings. Cons: Very expensive for the experience. Out of 10 days, 5 with no hot water. Support was unresponsive (calls ignored, WhatsApp replies delayed). With small children this was very hard.
