Hôtel was well situated if traveling by train, next to the station. Electric trams are located outside of the hotel. The hotel was new and very clean and well equipped. The breakfast offered an excellent choice of a buffet style hot and cold, the hot breakfast was hot and not tepid as in other hotels. The breakfast team were very pleasant and smiley, which made us feel very welcome

We had an amazing stay! The room was beautiful with lovely décor, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were very attentive—our host upgraded us to a suite and surprised us with port wine and cookies, which we really appreciated. The woman who decorated the room with balloons, flowers, and birthday cards for my fiancé went above and beyond—far more than the few balloons I asked for. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re back in Bristol!

FAQs about hotels in England

The Small Country with Big Appeal

For a relatively small country, England certainly manages to pack in a wealth of tourist attractions, from Land’s End all the way to Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Words can’t do justice to the capital London - an exciting mix of famous sights, royalty and vibrant life. Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham are fabulous cities that have emerged from their industrial past to be cutting-edge centres of culture.

Newcastle, Leeds and Bristol are well known for their buzzy music scene, while sedate Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their universities and punting. Stately York still maintains its city walls and Windsor has the wonderful castle where the Queen often resides.

Sheffield and Derby border the magnificent Peak District, while the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are close to Blackpool, one of England’s favourite beach destinations. Other very popular beaches are in Brighton, Eastbourne, Torquay and Scarborough.

With a beautifully rugged coastline, mystical Cornwall has England hotels in the country, as do the Cotswolds where stone houses line picturesque villages. The Georgian spa cities of Bath and Harrogate also have impressive stone architecture.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what England has to offer, but wherever you visit, you can be sure that Booking.com has a fantastic range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in England to choose from.

We went into london saw the iconic views Big Ben etc but also as well we visited the winter wonderland we got the free tickets online but paid à 4:50 pounds booking fee to be honest the line in the queue was ok but the actual park itself was over rated also we went into one of the village restaurants like a big German October fest theme the food was over priced and also we paid only to be told that part of our order they didn’t have but after a few words with the guy there we got a little substitution but still not worth the money I would avoid this as I have seen and been to better places

Walking around the town, especially at Christmas time is amazing. A lot of effort goes into public decorations and the overall feel of the city is great. There’s many food places to eat and a great range of proper British pubs to grab a drink or bite to eat in.

I would describe Bristol as a very diverse City with plenty of things to do and see. Other than getting a bus to the Clifton Bridge we walked everywhere which is something my family are used to . Others might find this challenging as Bristol is not flat but there are buses everywhere that seem to charge £2.50p for every journey ? We used a number of restaurants in the City including Hole in the Wall and Bar and Block. Each venue provided us with a very good meal. Younger persons than myself like might to try the two escape rooms in Cabot Circus which I am told are very good.

Staff are excellent, very friendly very efficient and always helpful where circumstances allow. Great service in the bar and food areas and a good choices of meals!! I would not say the area is the best for eating outside the hotel but there is a Maccie D's so i suppose some would be delighted, fair enought!!
