IrelandStaff were great, really friendly and good craic. The hotel was excellent value for money. The rooms were clean, and we had everything you needed. Don't get me wrong, it's not a 5 star hotel by any means, but the most important part was that they didn't charge excessive rates and try to rip people off. Id definitely would return.

Beautiful beaches, lots of dog friendly cafes and shops. Plenty of places to eat, highly recommend Whitmore Cafe, and Panda chinese takeaway. Oh and the cakes at Marco's Cafe.
Lovely walking places, dog friendly beaches (the main beach is dog friendly from october to may if i remember correctly), loads of rock pools to go hunting in, fun fair on site, arcades and of course you cant forget the 'gavin and stacey' connection, and although we didn't do it, apparently there is a guided tour available. We will be back, hopefully for longer than the weekend next time.

Large room, very clean. Spa is really large and my treatment was so good- would certainly make time if I returned for a half or full day spa next time. Food ordered in bar (bangers and mash) really tasty. Staff friendly and also efficient.

Cowbridge is a nice small town.
Cowbridge is a nice small town. Good food at the bear hotel.Waitrose yo buy groceries. Lovely walk at the NT Dyffryn gardens. Good farm shop - forage all with in a short drive from the lodge accommodation.

Since we arrived too late at Cardiff airport we needed to...
Since we arrived too late at Cardiff airport we needed to take cab to your place at 16:40, too late to buy any basic food for the next morning. We then had to leave to rent a car. I suggest that the host might have provided some basic things like a 1/2 dozen eggs, some butter, orange juice, and milk for the coffee. The key left for us didn’t lock the door either. Lastly perhaps in the instructions you should advise guests exactly how to turn on the shower in the two bathrooms. Especially the shower in the lower bathroom. I called and left three messages asking that someone call us to advise on the shower controls but never got a call back. That’s annoying. Who’s ever responsible for guests issues could be more attentive.

I was in llantwit Major visiting friends and family as I lived in llantwit for 50 years.
It is a lovely town, has loads of history and is a very pretty area as is all the Vale of Glamorgan.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit here.
Many lovely beaches along the coast, from Barry Island to Porthcawl. Cardiff City is 30 minutes drive from Llantwit and is a beautiful city.

Hosts were really friendly. Welcome pack was a nice extra touch.
Cottage was cosy (even in January!) and had everything we needed.
Location was great with lovely walks on the doorstep, and a pub with good food right next door.

We were there to visit family in St Athan so spent most of our time there. Our stay at 2 Stable Cottages was lovely and we would definitely go back. Priscilla was lovely and the home made cake and milk were very much appreciated. The little house was lovely and so peaceful. Loved our stay there

Nice little seaside town, full of charm and a must for Gavin and Stacey fans. Very quiet out of season. There seems to be a lot of building work going on to improve facilities. Not too over commercialised, nice sandy beach with good selection of snack bars and cafes. Finegans Spanish style restaurant is brilliant with great staff. The railway station is situated on the seafront with good connections to Cardiff and local areas.

The property is lovely and very clean.
I would definitely recommend this property if you are look for peace and quite but close enough for a city break.

Cowbridge is a market town, the cattle market is now The...
Cowbridge is a market town, the cattle market is now The Butts, free parking, but does get full. For coffee you must go to Fablas on the high street , you will be served coffee or tea in a way you have never been served before. Try the Elephant and Bun deli, with a take away box salad. Lunch at Harrys or The Penny Farthing, visit the Physic gardens for a relaxing stroll. Wander up and down the high street, also going down the little turnings, still have a butchers, which closed Mondays and a chemist the window will grab your eye. Then try Forage farm show, which is out of the high street, and for novelty value but glass milk bottles and get milk from the milk machine, near Forage. All the food shops are very good.
