We had the family room with terrace. The room was huge and we had lots of space to spread out. All the amenities needed were available. The hotel had a free parking lot, and there was space to park the car even at 10 pm. The facilities, and in particular the bathroom, were clean and modern despite the historical building. The staff knew us by name even before we checked in, and they were fast and efficient with their service. The view is incredible since they are right across a waterfront.

From arrival to departure the stay at the Highland rooms was phenomenal. Incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. I was a little sceptical at first because of the competitive price, but, as an adventurous couple we took the plunge and wasn't disappointed. We had a fantastic time in Ullapool exploring and taking in the sights. We paid what would have cost two coffees to use the Sauna in our room and i'm glad we did! Nothing beats a sauna after a tiring evening of exploration! The sleep was so comfortable and the beds were lovely. Very clean room. When we return to Ullapool we will be booking Highland Rooms again, no doubt

Wonderful location and view on the loch. The views from the common room and our room were beautiful. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast, served in a buffet style, was delicious and offered plenty of options. The honesty bar was a great addition. We would definitely come back and recommend this stay!

The breakfast was a typical English Breakfast with all the choices that entails, although the flavours were spot on and a great start of day. The location was great with a supermarket close by and the ferry dock was a sort walk from the hotel.

Ullapool is a good base for exploring the north-west highlands with Wester Ross to the south and Assynt to the north. Ullapool also has a regular ferry to the Isles of Harris/Lewis. There are public toilets, a supermarket and a couple of excellent chip-shops.

The chalets are located in a beautiful spot on the hillside overlooking Loch Broom. Each chalet is very private and comfortable. They are perfectly located for those wishing to explore this stunning part of Scotland, or as a stop-off while travelling along the NC500.

A great base for touring Scotland's gorgeous North-West coast. Great fish and chips in Ullapool, as well as various quirky small shops and a good bookshop. The town also has an unromantic but hugely useful (if you're self-catering) Tesco. Where to go? Anywhere, it's all magnificent!

Living in Scotland it is easy to forget what is on your doorstep and a few days in the North West is a reminder of this! Stunning scenery, views, drives, walks, waterfalls, the sea, the food, are all incredible. A memorable few days made perfect by the location and quality of Leckmelm. The freedom of self-catering with pubs, Hotels and restaurants nearby for the occasional meal out with the comfort of being able to cook and cater for yourself in a spacious chalet with a great kitchen and comfortable living area. All with amazing views!

The town had done a lot to make the waterfront a nice place to walk and take in the views. The paving, seating and lighting were well done. We made sure that we booked for dinner because even in October there were many people around.

The location was good for travelling to different places and plenty parking onsite. The down side was the view of the water was obscured by the overgrown bushes and wasn’t expecting to strip the bed on departure.

Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing.

Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing. The Bothy Cottage has been beautifully restored and is full of Olde World charm and character: - exposed beams, mezzanine and original stonework. The views of the surrounding mountains and loch are spectacular, from the adjoining conservatory, along with the host's herd of cows and hens. The host's hospitality and friendly warmth are second to none. Fresh eggs were provided and we were made to feel very welcome. If you are looking for a loving, caring holiday home, with an exceptional host and hospitality Inverlael Farmhouse and Bothy Cottage should be your number 1 choice.
