This place is like 5 star accommodation. The staff was helpful and friendly. Everything is well thought out. The cafe is wonderful. Fabulous coffee we loved so much, we didn't have coffee anywhere else. The room was gorgeous, and larger than a London apartment. The room has radiant heating, with heat coming from the floors. Gorgeous finishes, sparkling clean and new. The kitchen was SO well stocked we could enjoy my birthday champagne in proper champagne glasses. Included also was a fridge, kettle, dishwasher, clothes washer, etc. There was a white noise machine by the bed, and a yoga mat in the room. There was also loads of storage for tucking away our belongings. The living area was separated from the bed area. One of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. The room was beautiful with the most incredible mini bar I have ever seen. We partook in quite a bit of that. The bed was super comfortable. The toiletries were top notch and they even had a robe, slippers, hair dryer & straightener!! I was in heaven. The design is stunning with a ton of beautiful and cool funky art. The breakfast was mouth watering. Even if not staying there you should totally eat there. My husband said it was the best chicken and waffles he has ever had. It is just amazing city. Very much like a from fairy-tale. We loved it (2 adults, 1 child 8 years). We were there at the festival-time mid to end July (not knowing about this event but it was an amazing surprise and we took advantage of it and visited lots of the events). Since it was also during Tattoo time, the city center has been very crowded, but was not a problem for us. Just expect prices for accommodation to be higher than usual. For us it was worth it. Super friendly people everywhere. Want to come back soon :-) We took the sightseeing bus at the first day - recommendable. While I found the room itself comfortable and well-presented, unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly impacted by a series of distressing events. During the night, there were repeated electricity outages which triggered alarms multiple times. This culminated in the arrival of firefighters at my room—an unexpected and unsettling experience. To add to the concern, there was no staff present at the reception during this time, which left me feeling quite unsafe and unsupported. To date, I have not received any form of apology, explanation, or gesture of goodwill from your team. Lovely quiet resort close to amenities with an excellent bus service. Went into Edinburgh every day and saw lots of sites such as the castle / dungeons/ Mary Kings close/ Obscura observatory and a witchy museum. We ate on site or in Edinburgh. North Berwick is an adorable seaside town with beautiful scenic views and an amazing golf course. We enjoyed the quaint shops and restaurants as well as hiking the law. Getting around was so simple. We walked everywhere and found it so easy to go back and forth to our accommodations. One word of caution, most places stop serving dinner by 8:00pm.
