Although the rooms are not quite large, everything you need is there and the owners are extremely helpful if anything extra is needed. (Scott's ingenious adapter for the socket can only be recommended! 😉 ) The breakfast is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly, in short: everything was perfect. we would come back at any time. It was clean and pleasant, and the staff couldn't do enough to help and assist! It isn't far from the Grand Pier, so I'd say perfect location. Go and visit cheddar gorge and go in the caves, The biggest is the best, i was mesmerized at how beautiful the stalactights and stalamites in the caves are. A little exspensive to get in but worth it. If you work for NHS and have proof with you or have a blue light card you get discount. Make sure you wear a good pair of trainers or shoes in the caves. I don't think it is very good if you have a disability walking, i didn't notice that there was very much help in that aspect. There are also stairs in there and uneven floors.Guest review byKAYUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I did not meet any staff on either arrival or departure but had previously spoken to the owner on the telephone who was most helpful. I notice you have a lovely photo of a property in Redhill which people might think is Hathway House! A better map based on walking from the airport is required. Loved the rocking chair & custard creams!Guest review byJudyIreland - 8.0
Clevedon is the best place to visit with Family.
Clevedon is the best place to visit with Family. Lots of fun especially at the Grand Pier. Area surrounded by a variety of eating places. We had a meal at Nandos. Easy to get around Clevedon and parking fairly priced with close time at 11pm. Lots of activities for the Children at the Grand Pier.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Winscombe is the perfect location for a holiday in the Mendips. The very friendly village has shops of every kind ...including a bakery and a butcher.... and the surrounding countryside ...including Mendip Hills in every direction... is stunning. For more local walks, the course of the old railway line, closed in the 1960s, is perfect.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Portishead is a very smart town, kept very clean.
Portishead is a very smart town, kept very clean. It has a lovely marina, within easy walking distace of the coast. Enjoy watching the big boats go by at high tide to the docks. Also watchng the smaller boats going in and out of the large lock. It's worth going to the town centre where there is a selection of retaurants. The Indian Empire restaurant in the High Street was excellent. We will visit Portishead again. There is also an excellent bus service to other resorts and Bristol,Guest review byRees - 8.0

Thank you Jen and Phil.We are delighted to have discovered Elmdale Shepherds hut it proved to be very welcome break in our journey. Romantic, utterly perfect, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean; with the essential ingredients provided we enjoyed a much needed cup of tea and later managed a simple supper from our picnic leftovers, (despite near by pubs restaurants and takeaways). Arrow taxis provide reliable early travel to Bristol Airport. Next time we must plan a longer stay.Guest review byPatricia - 2.0

Uncomfortable and disappointing - there is no lift at the premises so luggage has to be carried up stairs, the windows had been left open so our room was cold and felt damp. There was no additional bedding in the room and the switches for the heater had been disabled.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Enjoyed a coffee and cake at the coffee station in the village. Would have loved to stay longer and looked at the lake, eat at the local pub and explored the general area more. Beautiful scenery and we were so fortunate with the weather too.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom
