We had a lovely 1 night stay at the pub as a stopover. Beautiful Oxfordshire style building. After long drive to UK, staff & management were very helpful, flexible & welcoming about our arrival time due to UK traffic delays. Recently refurbished traditional style rooms to a high standard. & Extremely comfortable rooms & beds with modern well equipped bathrooms. Tasty pub food in evening & great quality English breakfast following morning. Sufficient parking available out front of building

Very classic English breakfast with great quality. Served hot and refilled promptly. It's worth mentioning the gym in particular, which is very professional. There is an aerobic area upstairs in the spa center, and next to the parking lot, there is a separate area (with both indoor and outdoor sections, and a natural lake where you can swim). Driving to the outlets is also very convenient. I feel like you could easily stay at the hotel for a few days, shop, play some sports, work out, and enjoy a spa treatment.

The hotel is wonderful. The magic begins right after you check in, when you are handed the keys to the room. But this is a surprise. Must see for yourself. The atmosphere in the hotel is in the style of old England, rich in tradition and architecture. Luxurious interiors are preserved and complemented with modern materials in the style of the 1800s. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

An enchanting place in a lot of green. Never have we seen so much cordiality, cleanliness, care and loving detail. Very romantic and peaceful. Everything is perfectly thought out, from the tent furnishings, the ready-to-go fireplace in front of the tent to the functional kitchen shelter. Chipping Norton is a lovely town with great Pubs and cafe's and shops. It is in an ideal location to travel to many lovely towns and villages and has nice walks all around. We had Sunday Dinner at The Fox which was gorgeous. The yorkie was huge, 4 slices of meat and plenty of veg. We had a celiac and they were very knowledgeable and had a good choice of gluten free. The staff were brilliant. Also visited The chequers and the food, staff and choice again was brilliant.

Banbury is a lovely town, old enough to have a lot of character, large enough to have an excellent range of facilities. We were fortunate to be there when there was an excellent festival down by the canal (and the best value cheese we've ever had). St Mary's Church is beautiful and well worth a visit (and a donation - these places are special but expensive to maintain). We look forward to future visits.

An attractive small town, right next door to Blenheim Palace and near to Oxford: an excellent base for exploring the area more generally. The town has lots of places to eat and drink, and some useful shops, including a co-op in the centre of town. Prices aren't cheap, but quality is good. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busy periods, but we managed OK.
