The location was perfect for attending The Sheffield Arena...

The location was perfect for attending The Sheffield Arena for a concert, other than the location the facilities were awful, a toilet in a small cupboard, the sink in the actual room, alongside the shower in the room with a glass door and a big round hole in the glass door for any other occupants in the room able to view you in the shower, therefore we felt too uncomfortable to use the shower. The beds moved as not attached to the headboard and were on legs like a camp bed, a very small tv in the corner of the room, budget ibis facilities is an understatement, we left early next morning to escape the unfortunate facilities and to shower back at home in private Payment for parking is also an insult as room prices way overpriced let alone parking fee on top !!

Buxton is wonderful.

Buxton is wonderful. Quirky, iconic, a complete niche of a place in terms of locality and climate. Always pack a warm jumper. People are wonderful and friendly and there's a lot packed into a small space, amazing buildings, great park, within fantastic hills and walks. Lots of different places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

A trip into town is a must.

A trip into town is a must. We went on a Sunday so not all artisan shops were open in the town centre but some of the larger chain shops were and there was an amazing street food festival on so the place was buzzing. We parked at the retail park on the duel carriageway where all the large stores were open like Curry's, Next, Poundland, etc and then we walked across the road into town. Plenty of cafes open too.

Location was really good we know Bakewell quite well so really familiar with the area, because we stayed in Bakewell it allowed us to take advantage of pubs and restaurants without having to drive home. We were a party of six and Millstream mews was ideal. Apart from a few teething troubles such as sofas too low and big and other comments made earlier it was a fab place to stay and we all would stay again.

Good scenery probably the wrong time of year to visit has it was like a seaside shut down. Recommend a pub called the fishpond great place very hospitable. The worst thing probably was every other shop was a fish and chip shop not really anything to go in and look at.

To be fair it isn't in Stockport.

To be fair it isn't in Stockport. It in a beautiful rural location with fabulous views of green countryside with a charming vista of Manchester in the distance. Yes it was! In my view ! Lol. For us it was a little out of the way mainly because I'm increasingly stressed by driving but in normal circumstances it's nice and quiet. We ate in Glossop at Napolis which was fab last time we went but this time it wasn't great! Had a great ready meal from sainsbury in New Mills! Lots of good walks and paths. Binge Watched Riot women on the big screen! We don't have a TV.

Castleton is scenic and beautiful.

Castleton is scenic and beautiful. Location is slightly remote if you don’t have a car but has a couple of local shops to get essentials. Pubs and restaurants are lovely, slightly overpriced but I imagine that’s because then running costs are high. We stayed two nights, we didn’t go hiking and found there was limited things to do. We visited the caves which were good!

Lovely spot is Holmfirth. Great selection of arts & crafts, good food, great pubs, and one of the best music venues there is! The Picturedrome. Also worth a visit is the "Last of The Summer Wine Exhibition" and "Compo's house tour". Top eateries include Ten Fourteen, The Tap House Bar & Bistro, Lou & Joes Burger Company, Harvey's Bar & Kitchen, to name a few not forgetting some fantastic coffee shops too like the Cheese Shop Deli & Bistro, Ribbles, the Archive and Grahams all serving grew brews, hot food and CAKES!
