The owner/management team could not have been friendlier, likewise the front of house. Menu was varied and the food and service were excellent. Slept like a log and woke to the best view imaginable.

The front of house staff (Julien and Ffion) were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms had all been refurnished a couple of years ago and the room I stayed in was excellent. I ate in the Inn on the Saturday night and had breakfast on the Sunday morning. Both were top quality. The starters and main meals in the restaurant had recommended wines on the menu, which was a nice touch. I had the smoked eel salad followed by the skate.

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked a table for dinner and the food and service were wonderful. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were extremely comfortable and had lots of little lovely touches, such as the lamps and radio turned on when we arrived made it really cosy, and there was a little welcome note from housekeeping wishing us a pleasant stay. The toiletries in the bathroom were nice and the bathroom was lovely and spacious. I really appreciated having a bath and not just a shower. We really liked that there was a little collection of books in each room.

A nice Town, well located for hiking, Hay on wye (we went by bus 30 minutes), Swansea beaches (to visit old friends), Hereford the Mappa Mundi. Brecon Cathedral well worth a visit and a prayer. No visible above average dining would seem to reflect the locality.

The Seven Stars at Aberedw is fabulous. Fantastic people working there, the food is excellent, with large portions, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean. There are quite a few pubs in Builth Wells centre, but nome of them match the Seven Stars at Aberedw. Visit the White Hart in Builth Wells, a locals pub, but they make you feel very welcome.

Hay was one of our favourite places My husband is an avid book reader, collector. In past years he usually found what he would call a little bit of treasure from one of the many bookshops but he was disappointed at how expensive the books were. The town is still delightful and pleasurable to walk around.

I've known Newtown a little most of my life. It's a fairly sleepy place, since a full East-West by-pass was completed in recent years It's still a full-size Welsh town with all the usual facilities, but situated in some absolutely beautiful Welsh countryside. A great centre for a touring holiday.

An ok town, shame as bit of a reflection of the current state of affairs in most British towns these days. Was once I’m sure a bustling and thriving market town. Very handy for walking to the brilliant Powis castle and the local steam train railway too. A few bars and restaurants also.
