The Yacht club is a 2 min walk to the centre of Hambel, with all the restaurants and shops. The rooms are modern and very clean. The next day, I had to go to Mercury Marina to pick up my boat, which was a 15 min walk. The bar was very lively and it has also a large terasse with view on all the boats. The bar in Riverside House is very friendly and does some quite nice cocktails! :)

The Hotel is an old revamped building which is not a 5 star slick venue but the value for money was excellent, the bed was especially comfortable and at a starting rate of £7.00 for breakfast, I work constantly away from home/office and 3 to 4 nights a week I stay in a hotel, normally I wouldn't write a review but on this occasion I was so pleased that I can find the time to report that this hotel is a very satisfactory. As stated above the bed was extremely comfortable the price was very affordable and the quality and variety of the breakfast having taken the cheaper self serve option I was extremely impressed at the amount of effort and standard of service. I would definitely recommend this hotel as of a very good mid range over night business traveler orientated. Not overly outstanding 5 star service but all services offered were delivered customer in mind, they do their job well. thank you for the good straight forward good value service keep it up and I hope this review is helpful. Kind regards Eddie Business traveler, frequent hotel overnighter.

This is a hidden gem! Beautiful boutique hotel with a cute dog theme. Each space in this historic building has been beautifully decorated. There are loads of nice extra touches; gifts for your dog along with a Polaroid camera to take pictures for the pet guest book, a beautiful outdoor covered fire lounge area, well maintained gardens. The dining and indoor spaces are lovely. Very good breakfast. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, bathrooms are gorgeous with high end soaps and products. There is a great selection of teas. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

The Hotel is situated in a excellent position for shopping at Festival Place and the bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and polite and delt with any queries in a professional manner. Rooms were of a good size and the beds were really comfy. The bar area is nice and the meals are reasonably priced, breakfast is plenty full the only down side was the cooked options were lukewarm. Lots of lovely small shops and cafes.

Lots of lovely small shops and cafes. There were several cosy pubs where we met friends and had some good meals. We were able to walk from the high street down to the quay and along the waterfront to see lots of birds - lapwings, curlew, wigeon and brent geese. We thought the Christmas decorations were excellent - tasteful and cheering.

General convenience of external facilities, All needs were close at hand, i.e. car chargers, food stores etc. Close proximity to more sophisticated restaurants etc. The only criticism I have, was that these Days Inn services were only easily car accessible from the southbound M3, otherwise a Northbound detour is required via the nearest "crossover"

The town is very quiet and even on a Saturday seems to be dying on it's feet but there are numerous pubs and several reasonably priced restaurants (we were very happy with Frango's and The Golden Dragon. The Andover Tap is worth a call for real ale drinkers. on the positive side, there were no gangs roaming the streets and we felt very safe, Also, their British Legion(open to visitors) has music on a Saturday night and has been very well refurbished. The staff , members we met and the Secretary Sarah were very welcoming. We'd say that Andover is better used as a good base for travelling round the area.
