this is a beautiful hotel where the facilities are great and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The fully equipped gym was a great place for our morning workout sessions and the excellent 20 meter pool is perfect for swimming laps, as well as just relaxing in. The staff here were so nice and friendly and made us feel so welcomed and would make sure we had what we needed at all times. we absolutely loved it. this was a perfect place to spend a few relaxing mother and daughter days in the sun.

This establishment is an exceptional example of high end modern living, yet very close to all the simple things that make the Greek summer a unique experience for all Greek and International tourists. The sea, the seafood, the slow life and warm hospitality and most of all the sun, the dramatic landscape and evening colors. The quality of all facilities is as good as it gets and the establishment stands out in this small seaside village close to Chania. The hospitality of all staff and especially Maria is wonderful. Sleeping was great and the breakfast is very rich and focused on the local ingredients and delicacies. If this is within your budget, do not think twice.

We had an amazing stay here with our friends! The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and always smiling — they truly go above and beyond for their guests. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were super comfortable. We were really satisfied with both breakfast and dinner — everything was fresh and delicious, we couldn’t complain about a single thing. It’s great that the washing machine is free to use, just like the billiard table, sauna, jacuzzi, and parking around the hotel. The Wi-Fi was fast, and you can also request a kettle and ironing board for your room. The staff work very hard, and the little cats living around the hotel were absolute favourites of ours. We honestly have nothing negative to say — thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality! Oh, and one more thing — the massage! Peggy is such a lovely, smiling, and professional lady. All four of us enjoyed the aromatherapy massage so much. Highly recommended! ❤️

What a lovely find! We stayed for a week, the room was very clean & comfortable, lovely sea view. Plenty of storage. Fridge & kettle in the room, so nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a coffee after a day at the beach, and also have chilled beers to hand! The location was excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to the square or the beach. Great wifi, decent air con (needed). Excellent value for money would definitely recommend!

The location is perfect, the view is amazing. The room is spacious and very clean. The staff was very service oriented, and breakfast was delicious. The massage we booked was absolutely perfect, I would highly recommend it. And no need to bring your beach towel, you will get them from the hotel.

Where to begin! Perfect hotel for a beach holiday. The facilities and food were outstanding, however what made the Mythos so special were the exceptional staff. Evangelia, Charis, Leon, Stavros, Andreas, Asteria, Gabriela and all the team made my daughter and I feel so welcome and delivered service worthy of the 5 star rating. Would also like to mention the manager of the resort Nektarios, who seems to be there 24 hours a day leading his team from the front with precision. The whole experience reflects the vast amount of industry awards they have won. Almost forgot to mention the fantastic 8km beach one minute walk from the hotel. Thanks to the Mythos team for making our stay so memorable.

Everything was amazing from the moment we arrived. The pools, indoor and outdoor, are immaculate and on a day without wind, the sea is like glass and so warm. We were upgraded to a room with a private pool which was perfect to laze with a book and catch the late afternoon sun. The variety and quality of food was immense and so delicious, and the animation team worked really hard to keep the big and little kids entertained. We had a perfect week at Kiani!

We chose Anemos for our honeymoon and were not disappointed! It's absolute five star quality and worth every penny. We were so looked after. We did half board and massively enjoyed the breakfast and evening buffets. We also opted for two days full board which was great to experience too. Overall an amazing ten days, thank you!

Our recent stay was made extra special thanks to the incredible care and presence of the hotel management team – particularly Modesta and Jelena. From the moment we arrived, their approach stood out as genuinely guest-focused and refreshingly hands-on. Modesta kindly invited us to a management-hosted drinks and snacks event, where she spent over 30 minutes listening attentively to our suggestions for future improvements. We mentioned ideas such as offering hairdresser services for guests staying longer than a week, arranging sessions with a professional photographer to capture the stunning scenery, and introducing adult dance classes featuring local Greek styles. We also suggested expanding the beverage options to include a variety of barista-made coffees for non-alcohol drinkers—currently, if you don't drink alcohol, you’re mostly left with water or sugary sodas, which many now avoid. That level of openness and attention is rare and deeply appreciated. Jelena and Modesta also organised a beautiful à la carte dinner for us, another example of how involved and committed the management team is. This is the only hotel we’ve experienced where the management isn’t distant from guests—they are consistently visible, engaging, and genuinely interested in how everything is going. You truly feel heard and valued here. It’s a completely different and much more personal style of hospitality management. A heartfelt thank you to Spiros, Nicolas, Modesta, Michelle and the rest of the team —you’re doing a fantastic job.

Kournas is a beautiful mountain village. The views are fabulous of the mountains and sea. There is a lovely pottery shop and a few tavernas and everyone was friendly. However, you need a car to be able to get about.

It's a lovely resort.

It's a lovely resort. Visited many times but never stayed before. Plenty of shops and bars but not enough tavernas! A lot of hotels have been built over the past few years ensuring more tourists but it was difficult finding a table in a taverna on an evening and we visited in September so I would say it's impossible in the height of the season. If you like the beach then Kalivaki Beach is a must for you. All sand and no pebbles ! The surrounding area is very scenic & can recommend going on one of the train rides through the local villages. An excellent day out!

It's a rich area with nice bars and restaurants - most people stay in upmarket villas and the square is busy at night. Small and picturesque, it has a couple of supermarkets and a brewery. It is very relaxing and peaceful.

First visit to Almirida was many years ago with young children and then years later as adults alone.It was still enjoyable and the proximity of everything nearby of this small but nicely presented resort was a winner for us. Sloping shallow sandy bay beach is brilliant. Plenty of good places to rent and lots of eateries of all kinds and all budgets. Bus to Chania is fairly regular ( in season) and doesnt take long. Drop off in Kalyves, the next town, is a good change of scenery as is Plaka up the hill. Taxi service seems 24 hrs and went over and above when we had a medical centre/hospital visit during stay. I think we will be coming here for a few years more in between other trips.

Lovely village with everything you may need to have a great holiday. Bakery,chemist ,local shops ,few tavernas and of course kafenion where locals meet.Very nice people ,authentic Greek village.Quite and relaxing.Parasia the best taverna in the area.Must be book in advance always full,very good food and very friendly staff.Lots of nice walk around the village.

Very beautiful and comfortable place.

Very beautiful and comfortable place. The reality is more beautiful than the pictures. Very generous and sweet hostess: greeted with gifts, patiently answered all questions, did not charge for a broken table. The kitchen was fully equipped. Washing machine. Hot water with good pressure. The beach with the footbridge in the village was very convenient for our son with a broken leg :). The food in tavernas was very tasty.

We loved this small village; it was high on a mountain side...

We loved this small village; it was high on a mountain side overlooking the most charming valley and we could see other villages in the distance as well as the ocean. Beautiful sunrises every morning with myriad colors depending upon the cloud cover ... we loved the beautiful chapel the owner built on the property, it is beautiful in its simplicity.
