The room had everything we needed – clean, organized, and comfortable. The location is excellent, especially if you’re taking an early ferry, as it’s very close to the port. The restaurant was very good, and the rooftop bar was a nice surprise – perfect for enjoying the sunset with a great view. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in Athens!

Okupa is a fantastic hotel that really has a bit of everything. There’s a hi-fi audiophile corner with a vinyl DJ setup and great playlists playing all day — a dream spot for music lovers. The dining area and bar have a great vibe for relaxing or socializing, while the quiet upstairs workspace is ideal if you need to focus and get things done. The rooftop pool is a highlight, offering an amazing view on Athens, especially at sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, the bed was super comfy, and everything felt well cared for. I loved it so much that I came back to stay again after my trip to the islands and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

    We had an amazing stay, the hotel is located on a lively big street so we always felt safe coming back in the evening. The location is great, walking distance to the national park and the square, you can also easily walk to Plaka since it’s downhill, but there is also a metro station nearby that makes everything easily reachable. The hotel itself was super nice as well, very clean, the room was nicely decorated, when we arrived we got a free upgrade to a room with a balcony, which was greatly appreciated. Although the balcony was looking over the street there was no noise at night, so we slept with no issues. The beds were super comfortable as well. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful. We were able to visit the pool (located at their other hotel just a few minutes away) and the breakfast was amazing! Overall would recommend this hotel to everyone!

    Unbelievable location at the sea! In my opinion the best part of Agistri, away from the busy street. Everything you need is close, private beach, very good breakfast. The room was very spacious as well, with a huge balcony. The personnel was very kind and helped us with whatever we needed.

    I really loved the hospitality of the residents, pretty much everyone speak or can understand English, they were cordial and very helpful if you ask for directions. The archeological sites are well maintained and entry to them are easy and smooth if you get there early in the morning, should not be long lines. Food is good pretty much all over (some places at the tourist areas are a bit expensive) but do some research and go and eat where locals eat, like Tavern Saita, in Plaka, food was outstanding, real authentic Greek cuisine and prices are for locals!

    I traveled with my daughter & grandson from the US to London...

    I traveled with my daughter & grandson from the US to London for a couple of days, then flew to Athens for a cruise leaving the next day. We made our way out of Athens to stay at the cruise port. We were exhausted but our time at the Seaside Hotel was a wonderful reprieve. It was charming, everyone so friendly and accommodating. I regret that we didn't have more time to enjoy it.

    Convenient location close to the airport 20Euros pickup from the airport and 20E return. Our apartment was 8-10 minutes from food locations which really was only one restaurant open on a Monday night - I expected more choice. Though we were happy with the food we bought.

    A home made with love

    A home made with love We only stayed for one night, but we felt comfortable and fresh, like at home. The hostess carefully described how to enter the house and waited for us to confirm that everything was okay despite the late hour. The terrace offers an incredible view of the sea, there is a separate dining area and a sofa under the stars. The rooms are spacious and artistic. There is an unobtrusive elegant artistic accent everywhere - beautifully paintings on the walls or an element on the terrace, truly impressive art. The rooms are spacious and with a view, all have air conditioning. We thank the hosts for their hospitality - they had left water in the fridge, breakfast, coffee, which were valuable to us, given the late hour of our arrival and the early hour of our departure.

    We've been going to Hydra for over 15 years, and love the ease of the island, especially no vehicles. Though the beaches aren't your classic white sandy beaches the sea is beautiful and the people are really hospitable. Our summer is never complete without a visit.

    We had choice to go to one of three closest islands near Athens. Aegina is big and the closest to Athens so quite crowded on weekends where Athenians escape from the heat. Hydra is quite beautiful but a bit expensive, no sandy beaches near center and no transport on island except of horses and donkeys (it is charming, though, worth to visit for one day). So the last choice was Poros, with moderate prices, nice beaches, even free municipal bus, and 5 minutes boat ride to the mainland village of Galatas, which also has great restaurants to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.

    Lovely, long, sandy beach - clear waters and safe swimming. Lots of bars, cafés and restaurants along the beach and on the Main Street. Two supermarkets. Cute little harbour - three ferries to and from the mainland daily. I have only visited in May and September when presumably it is a little quieter than it is in full summer and tend to use the sunbeds at Ocean Beach bar as they are good quality and service is excellent there. The best cocktails are at the Paradise restaurant on the beach and the best place to eat is Thymari restaurant. The best coffee and friendliest welcome is at CaféZil on the Main Street. Varied accommodation choices.

    It was a great mix of local charm and tourism. Really easy to get around. Local people friendly with nods, smiles and hellos. Always felt safe. Beaches were great but wear thongs as the pebbles are brutal.

    So much delicious food to choose from and lovely quiet port. Great spot if you want to relax. Everything is in walking distance and best spot for taxis around the island as well as boats for trips to nearby islands.
