Achilles Hills Hotel is probably the place where we found all the comfort, peacefulness and joy we could find in our vacation. The place is superb in the evening, when one can admire the sunset over the Methoni castle and the bay while listen dogs barking at distance and then hear the roosters and donkeys sing in the morning...more so from the 24h infinite pool open view... The blend of modern and authentic is just magnificent. Referring to more common reviews comments, cleanness, respect for clients, intimacy, food at the restaurant, wine and serving is irreproachable and suuper. Everything around, from Methoni surroundings, beaches, waterfalls, castles, museums, olive tours or just Greek villages in Messenia or Mani we have visited, continues to brings us memories we want to return to.     I would really recommend staying here, the hotel is beautiful and peaceful, Giorgios at the reception was very welcoming and helpful, he gave us good advice for places to visit to make the most of our stay. We had an amazing rich breakfast, sitting next to the lovely pool, in the outdoor space tastefully decorated and with beautiful flowers. Our room was very clean with a beautiful view on the sea.

    Lovely property, great views all around. Comfortable rooms with great balcony. A lot of useful details were included, and a thoughtful bottle of white wine was in the fridge. Two stunning beaches are a short walk away on either side, 5min on the main road, and then a foot path for each. Host was very friendly and helpful.

    Beautiful waterfront and a friendly vibe. Great place to base yourself for day trips in the surrounding area. Pylos is an authentic Greek town, great for walking and people watching. A place that makes you think, “I could live here.” The castle, with its sensational views and nice little museum, is well worth a couple hours. Beaches to the north are outstanding and just a short drive away.

    The spelling is Kardamyli. Lovely small seaside village not spoiled by large high rise hotels. The pretty old town is just up a hill and there is also a section with hotels,bars and restaurants around the harbor. Well worth a visit.

    We loved the accommodating beach sidewalk- wide and mostly flat. Cafes and tavernas along the beach in Stoupa made for pleasant beach lounging. Kayak and paddle board rentals were easy, affordable and such a treat for all ages!

    Majestic with a castle and the crystal blue waters as a backdrop. Methoni is for everyone - it has history, beach, shopping, friendly and welcoming people and amazing food. I highly recommend making a reservation at Castro (a reservation because you will not get a table unless you do) for a delightful cuisine and spectacular view at sunset. You will not regret it. I also recommend the Rex right by the beach. Excellent food. Enjoy!

    The local Taverna along Artaki bay has excellent traditional food and the best view of the bay and Koroni. We loved to walk through the little streets and steps going up to the castle and monastry with lovely views over Koroni and Zaga beach the other side that you can walk to.

    All the villas give you the privacy of having your own relaxing space near a very popular beach. Each villa has a garage for your car which allows the car to be protected and kept cool during the day. The villas are kept clean and serviced daily. Above all you have Konstantina which is your host and she is always willing to assist you with anything which you may require. There are many restaurants within a 5 km radius of the property. You are close to one of Greece's most famous beaches Voidokoilia and also Gialova which has many restaurants and bars. In summary the property is highly recommended for someone who would like to visit Messinia one of Greece's most beautiful areas.

Also, famous places in less than an hour drive (Voidokoilia Beach, Costa Navarino hotels, Foinikounta, Pylos, etc.).     It is a bit of an odd place.

    It is a bit of an odd place. The beaches are beautiful and picturesque, however there are no facilities on the beaches (no sunbeds, beachbars or even toilets). Any beaches with facilities are private to the exclusive Navarino Resort, and therefore you have no access. A lot of it is a nature conservation area, which is probably why its so beautiful, and walking around is lovely, but there isn't much else to do. The restaurants are very good, and a cut above those we encountered elsewhere in Greece - bit more expensive but definitely worth it. We were due to stay 5 days, but moved on after 3 as there just wasn't enough to do.
