Breakfast was very good and the possibility to sit in the garden and enjoy your coffee with the beautiful view the hotel offers was a joy. They even served a mountain tea collected from the countryside nearby by one of the ladies working at the hotel. Very nice extra touch! However, the best thing was the staff working at this hotel. Simply super all of them and one of the reasons I will visit again next year

A magical atmosphere, especially with a fireplace on on a cold day. Cozy and specious. The kitchen is well equipped. We were two couples came on motorcycles - there's a covered parking for motorcycles. Excellent location on the way to Athens from the Peloponnese (or vice versa). There is no supermarket (or minimarket) nearby. It is recommended to bring with you groceries or food. But his was a minor issue (as we received directions from Alex (the owner) to the nearby stores- so thanks Alex 😊

We have excellent experience. Positioned in small quiet village Arhontiko Kefalari is nice place to rest after active day. We climbed nearby - in Frygani sector - and that’s just five minutes away by car. Elena is very friendly and nice hostess. Breakfast was delicious, made from fresh ingredients. There wasn’t water cooker on the room, but when we asked for one, immediately we had one available . There was also fireplace in the room, prepared for using. So we could increased evening atmosphere 🙂. Room was smaller, but sufficient for our stay. Just a few steps from the hotel is local restaurant with nice owners. Also a small coffee bar, where we had a good Greek coffee. Parking place is also nearby, every time free. I really recommend!

We chose the accommodation by pure chance, and when we arrived - bang! - such a nice surprise! You feel like you are in a magic place. Everything is perfect, designed and arranged with taste, and feels so special. Not only this, but we got an upgrade of the room for the same price. Eleni was so helpful, told us a lot abut the region, and what to visit around. We ended up doing a thrilling wine tour in the region. Breakfast was really tasty and gave us suggestions of what farmer food and wine to buy before heading back home. There is parking space in the vicinity. The room is tidied up daily and hygiene supplies are of quality and abundant.

Excellent village with nice accommodations, restaurants and coffee shops. Very close to the ski center and other villages to visit. Very close to Athens city (1,5 hours of national road and 20' of easy roads)

It’s easy to drive from Kato to Messaio to Ano Trikal and...

It’s easy to drive from Kato to Messaio to Ano Trikal and surrounding areas by car. Messaio has more restaurants. But Kato has a nice plateia, circular hike trails, and a few restaurants and cafes as well! Especially if snow is on upper areas, Kato area may remain dry and roads clear!

This is the Greek Alps.

This is the Greek Alps. A spectacular area worth taking the time to explore, which I will do on another occasion. I generally follow the costal route while traveling by ferry from Italy to Greece, I had time this trip and I was so pleased to discover this area, this aspect of Greece. Green and lush, rivers, forests, vineyards, olive trees - the whole of the drive from the coast is spectacular.

A nice quiet village.

A nice quiet village. A good place to explore the wider area by car. The next village (Klimenti) is known for its many events especially during Springtime throughout Autumn in the main tavern (Klimenti Cafe-Tavern).

Mesinon is a great location to base yourself to explore the beautiful nearby towns of Goura, Archeo Feneo, Kleitoria, Steno. Lake Doxa is also very close by car. For those prepared to venture a little bit further a visit to the beautiful towns of Vytina/ Stemnitsa/ Dimitsana are a must . This is a beautful part of Greece that provides a wonderful contrast to a visit to the Greek islands. Highly recommended

The village is small but has plenty of outlets for food drink coffee and some limited shopping, we ate in all the restaraunts and the food was good in all and Giota in the local cafe was a lovely lady and always happy to help with information on the local area
