I loved the village feel of El Paredon.
I loved the village feel of El Paredon. The pace of life felt wonderfully slow, and you could walk from one end to the other in minutes. The small size of the community meant that after only a couple of days, I found myself running into familiar faces on the street or in a restaurant, which led to a lot of pleasant social interaction that wouldn't have been possible in a bigger place.Guest review byJoelUnited States - 6.0

It's scorching hot in Puerto San Jose the tow I stayed in in Escuintla and there isn't much to do. I would walk only four minutes in the daytime trying to get acquainted with the town and I would be soaking wet in sweat.Very uncomfortable and tiring. Forget about running if you're a runner like me or any high physical activity in the daytime.Lots and lots of water to hydrate.I stayed cooped up in my room most of the time and put on the AC(life saver). This being said if you like it 'furnace hot' it's a good spot for you .I booked a room for 10 days and I ended up regretting it.2 would have been largely enough. There's a beach in PSJ.There's a cool breeze by the beach but it's very dirty(trash everywhere).Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The hospitability & friendship of the hotel personnel.... plus, we meet the owners, they were verry concern of what we need for our stay. it is a small town so is easy to go walking anywhere. surfing was the main event on town.... but like us we go for a gravel bike race event.Guest review byPorras - 10.0

great. beautiful and the people are so friendly. its quite small so dont expect lots of shps and dining options are limited. there are some restaurants but not massive choice. good coffee shops though but bring supplies because one is limited in options for toiletries etc...Guest review byRodriguez
