Seventh century walled city with wonderful views from the ramparts. Dubrovnik is a city of steps-315 stairs from the walls of the city to our apartment, 45 stairs from the street to the apartment gate and 60 stairs to our studio on the top floor! If you choose to walk the walls of the city, be prepared for more stairs! You will be more fit at the end of your visit! Tourism is the main industry in Croatia so be prepared for crowds .Guest review byEricCanada - 8.0

It's a pleasant city with a fairly calm population: no one yells in the streets (like in Spain, for example...). Unfortunately, the streets and the city beach are dirty, with lots of trash. There's a new beach with a clean shore, a large area for relaxation/sports, and cafes and restaurants, called Znjanski. You can get there by bus number 8 or by taxi (10-15 minutes). Tickets can also be bought from the driver. Tip: for day trips to neighboring islands, take the boats that leave from the main port. It's very convenient and inexpensive! If you want to visit a restaurant or pizzeria with a beautiful view, come to Pizzeria Skipper - Pizza Split - Pizza With a City View.Guest review byNataliaFinland - 10.0

Great city. perfect old town and most importantly the promenade was simply beautiful. Just the right level of tourists - did not feel overwhelmingly crowded. Brilliant sunsets. Well connected for local sights such as Plitvice National Park, Kornati National Park, Nin town (not to be missed).Guest review byParitoshUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Trogir is a small town which can be seen very quickly. Its ancient and narrow streets are filled with cafes and shops. Very charming and fun to visit. Cobblestone streets and is very lively at night. Huge yachts are docked along the main Riva.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States - 10.0

Makarska is a perfect size for exploring on foot. It has a beautiful old town and is supplied with some great eating places. I would recommend Gastro Diva for a local eating experience. The beaches are good and there are some lovely walks around the peninsula.Guest review byJaneCroatia - 10.0
Šibenik is a very beautiful place.
Šibenik is a very beautiful place. I came there mainly for the Ship Festival, so my stay was also full of interesting music. That's why I didn't have much time to see the sights. I would definitely like to go back there someday and see the city a little more.Guest review byAnonymousCzech Republic - 10.0
Lovely and very interesting island with amazing beaches...
Lovely and very interesting island with amazing beaches nearby, great biking opportunities, historic places to visit, wonderful restaurants, friendly people and amazing sites around every bend. We stayed in the old town, in a building built around 1400, and explored from there. The old town was so fun and small enough that you could walk everywhere, including to the ferry stations, so the only time we used a car was when we took a day to drive to several beaches around the island, each one amazing.Guest review by4BeachcombersUnited States - 10.0

We used Mlini for a night before flying out of Dubrovnik Airport. We started our Croatia holiday in Split, then did a Bike and Boat through the islands, ending up in Dubrovnik. Seeing how far Dubrovnik is from the airport, I sought closer accommodations, and it was a quick 10 minutes in the early morning when our driver picked us up at 5:40 a.m. After being there, for one day, I wish I could have spent several days there just relaxing!Guest review byBarbaraUnited States
