We stayed one night only, but it was outstanding. Huge, clean rooms, big bathroom, one of the best beds I have slept in in a hotel. Breakfast was outstanding as well. Though the hotel is at the edge of the inner city, with just a 15-20 minutes walk we were in the old downtown. Highly recommended hotel!

We stayed for eight night and it was right.

We stayed for eight night and it was right. Planning each excursion and tour and other sight. We felt it just right. And really love the city. The Gastronomy is a beaut and the Karlivacko Radler was our favourite even the cakes and we ate at Buffet Fife. Wonderful place and the Marina is just great to watch. We just managed to find the way round with the help of Split map as a guide. We enjoyed all day sailing to the Solta island and stayed at Stomorska for lunch and swimming. Also to Mostar in Bosnia.

I had a great time in Dubrovnik, managed to do all the sights I wanted to see, cable car, Lockrum island. Day trip out to kravice waterfalls.Mostar and Pocitelj. Kayaking. The Old Town, walls and fortress, as well as some museums. I stayed outside of the Old Town and walked in all the time, so I can not comment on the bus service.

Zadar has so much to offer!

Zadar has so much to offer! The airport is just a stone’s throw away, and buses run very frequently, making it super easy to get around. The old town is charming and full of great restaurants where you can enjoy local flavors. Don’t miss the unique Sea Organ and Sun Salutation – they’re truly one-of-a-kind experiences. And of course, the sunsets here are breathtaking! Everything is within walking distance, so exploring is a breeze. The beaches are lovely, though it’s a good idea to bring water shoes for the pebbles – once you’re in, the water is warm and inviting. No worries about big sea creatures either! For a day trip, you can join a tour to the stunning Plitvice Lakes, Kornati Islands, or Krka Waterfalls. Sailing or renting a boat to explore the nearby islands is also an unforgettable experience.

Trogir was a great base for us.

Trogir was a great base for us. We loved the old town and there are many excellent beaches on Ciovo. We could access Spilt very easily by boat and bus. Restaurants were excellent but quite expensive. There was a lot of anti-tourist graffiti on benches and doors which made us feel a bit uncomfotable.

Makarska is the capital of Makarska Riviera and has all required infrastructure with well-equipped beaches, rest areas, shops, transport connections and entertainment venues. Vodice is a very crowded place.

Vodice is a very crowded place. The beach is long but not very wide, so there were many people, and sometimes you couldn’t even find a spot to put your towel. The city center is also not as beautiful as other Croatian cities, such as Poreč, Pula, Omiš, or Zadar. It doesn’t offer much to explore, but there are some nice places to see nearby, such as the islands of Prvić and Murter. We also liked the beach in Rovinj, which has many more facilities. On the beach in Vodice, there is also a nightclub that gets really loud, so it’s not the best option for a holiday with small children.

For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.

For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.
