The location is perfect and the value for money you can’t beat. The food and atmosphere on the roof are amazing after a day of diving. Everything is clean and freshly painted. Easy to book diving with Uber Scuba from the hotel and a ten min walk in the morning to get the boat. Already recommended it to all my friends.

I had a fantastic stay! The hotel was spotless and very quiet, and I slept incredibly well. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was exceptionally welcoming and genuinely lovely. I felt taken care of from the moment I arrived. Highly recommended!

Loved the fact that the entire Villa was made of bamboo & that drinking water was provided in glass bottles (minimising single use plastic waste). Very impressed. The hotel car was always available for trips to town and communication with the driver for pickups was very simple (WhatsApp). Sunset & sunrise views were amazing! Would definitely stay again.

The villas are very beautiful and comfortable. They have everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The pool is wonderful. All the staff are lovely people, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Ricky in particular is doing an excellent job. He’s such a kind guy, always making sure everything is perfect and that we feel comfortable. He helped us with absolutely everything (scooter rental, tips on places to visit nearby, taxi to the airport, etc.). We’re very grateful to have met him. We extended our stay for two more days to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer :)

We loved everything! The atmosphere is incredible, we arrived and felt right away at home. We loved our bungalow with the most beautiful view over the ocean and every evening a stunning sunset. The food was so delicious, we loved the dinner buffet, with traditional dishes and to eat with all the other guests together. The organised diving trips have been glorious! It’s really a little oasis, filled with love and tranquility. We really could wind down, relax and rejuvenate. We stayed one week and would have loved to never leave again.

Super comfortable, super clean and absolutely amazing place to stay in Labuan Bajo. Blue Parrot is locally owned homestay with the standards of a hotel when it comes to the rooms, comfort, views and staff. We had the room with our own private terrace overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning! The room was spacious with king size bed and one more single bed. Bathroom was clean and modern (no doors - no problem). The staff was absolutely amazing, Mr. Suni was super welcoming and helpful with all the questions we had. His fellow colleagues were fantastic in taking care of us, cooking the breakfast and cleaning up the room. We stayed for 5 nights and we were absolutely delighted with our stay. 7-10 minutes walking to the town. Definitely would return back. We always prefer to stay in locally owned places just to show our support. If you want to stay away from the noisy traffic of the main street but still be within walking distance then I highly recommend staying in Blue Parrot!!!

Booked a week stay in L Bajo, I will definitely stay here again, it's in a prime location, 15min walk to the harbor which is only a few minutes drive, and a supermarket next door. Staffs are super friendly, simple but clean room with comfortable bed, great value for money. Love the sunset view! Shout out to Arna who greeted me in check-in and sent me off the last day. She's lovely! Two things to note: - very simple breakfast with only coffee, milk, toast and cup noodles. Not my top choice for breakfast but when you're getting up at 5:30 for diving there's literally no other breakfast options around and the hot coffee and cup noodles have saved a few of my mornings. It's free and considering the room rate I won't complain at all. - the hotel doesn't provide towels, remember to bring yours.

Everything is beyond expectation, it is just like heaven. To the front of room, you will see the real nature of beauty and I came to love Indonesian cultuture more from this stay. I had experienced diving at first time in this island, and 360 degree under the ocean is really beautiful scene, so many fish, bany sharks, turtles and pleany kinds of fish. A sunset was very nice, and i climbed mountain to see a sun rise. I have leanred the way of living from this island and became positive thinking. This heaven, you should try with your partner, and this become the fantastic memory i swear.

This hotel could be a destination just in itself! It's in a coconut plantation, of course, which is located right on the beach. The rooms are standalone bungalows with plenty of space in between, and designed and decorated in a completely whimsical and charming fashion. We couldn't stop taking pictures of it. The restaurant is good, the beach is good (when the tide is not out - it's shallow and muddy at low tide), and we really wished we could stay longer. Next time we're on Flores, we will 100% make a point to stay here.

Location is almost unbeatable. The very best reef with lots of colour and fish. Plus the dive guys at the resort are caring for the reef and attending to coral re-growth. Free snorkeling gear for snorkeling on the reef. Spa on-site. The seaview from the room is magnificent! Quiet and tranquil- one of the best stays you could do. Boat and dive trips available from the resort too. All the staff were friendly, helpful and happy to help. We enjoyed our dining experience with the staff serving us.

We had 2 nights at Plataran Komodo and it was the most enjoyable stay throughout our whole Indonesia trip . The whole crew at the resort , especially our butler Daniel took really good care of us . Plus , the food at both Atlantis on the rock and Xanadu is really tasty . The afternoon tea is lovely and sweet . The sunset at Atlantis and the jetty is stunning . We basically loved everything during our stay here . We'd wanna come back to Plataran Komodo when we visit Komodo again .

We booked Puri Sari to stay for one night before a five day liveaboard. We knew we were getting in late, and leaving early, so we wanted something that was inexpensive, and weren't looking for anything too nice. We were SO pleasantly surprised when we got to Puri Sari and it was high above our expectations. The room was no frills, but the property was beautiful. When we arrived there was live music going on at the beach during dinner, and the food was really good.

Labuan Bajo was so nice and beautiful, amazing experiences with one day boat trip seeing Komodo dragons, manta rays and Pink beach. Additional trips to Cunca Wulang waterfalls and Rangko cave were also definitely worth of doing! Great location, still relatively small so getting around in area is easy, but still having lot of options for different restaurants and activities. Did not have time enough to explore Flores further to east but I can imagine that would be also nice experience.

Ruteng is a big town (bigger than LBG) and you go through beautiful forest to get there. We stayed in a home stay (Petra home stay) a little out of town and recommend it as ‘up the hill’ is lovely. The central square of the town is lovely and there are hardly any other tourists

Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

Anyone travelling to Maurmere should be aware there are...

Anyone travelling to Maurmere should be aware there are severe problems with the local airport. It can be closed due to volcanic activity and if it is you will have almost no way of confirming or arranging other travel except by road. Maumere itself is pretty low service. There are no restaurants except very small local Warungs where you cannot guarantee hygiene. If staying at Cocnut beach it has a great reasturant and facilities but be aware you will likely not leave the hotel accept to do activities such as visit the Kelimutu Volcano which can also be done from other towns.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.

Nice, small, authentic village.

Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location was perfect, if your objective is to get away from the crowds. The emphasis is very much “enjoy the incredible nature around you”. Although there is WiFi and it was mostly fast and mostly reliable. The jewel of this resort is the good quality house reef, accessible from the jetty. There are currents, but there are usually staff available to provide a short RIB “lift” up current, for a gentle drift home. Hiking around the island is also possible, with sensible footwear and water. It is hot and the hills are steep. The basics are all good. Room - comfy bed, air con working, hot water, clean. Food - tasty and plentiful. There is a bar with alcohol at European prices.

I came for diving - going on a short Liveaboard for 3 days and doing 3 days of shore diving. The place is on the cusp of turning towards the dark side of tourism ghetto that is overbearing, but at the moment it's worth visiting. I would have stayed for another day, but airlines serving the airport (Komodo International Airport) do what they want. My flight there was delayed 2 hours and my flight leaving to connect with an international flight was rescheduled less than 48 hours before departure. It meant i had to leave the day before because there was no way i'd make the connection. People working there told me my experience is a common one - giving much worse examples. For less experienced divers, be aware currents are common - some very strong.

A very dirty, busy city.

A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on
