The best part of Bandung is the mountains outside of Bandung. The White crater lake, tea plantations, hot springs, picking strawberries As it was a long weekend the museums were closed, but i have heard that they are good.

A nice city with outdoors options for entertainment. A magnificent botanical garden. eating, shopping and facilities, gyms and wellness centers. Nice wide roads with lovely architecture and vegetation. Close by the volcanos and thee plantations ideal for day trips.

Puncak is a favorite destination for lovely weather especially for those escaping the heat. It's full of beautiful nature. It's not easy to go around, while many families rely upon renting a car with a driver. Roads get jammed many times along the day.

Not much to see there.

Not much to see there. The old Kasephuan palace is interesting and worth a one hour visit. Otherwise there is not much to see in the Cirebon. I saw very few international tourists. There are some good seafood restaurants, but that is not enough to justify the travel time and costs of a visit there.

The hospitality if people in Bekasi was really good. I couldn't say much about the places because when I went there, everything was closed (Muslim holiday), but the Taman Mini Indonesia was really a good place to go if you want to know more about Indonesia. Food was great. I like the "Ayam Soto" that I had just around a street there. I only tried the street because restaurants were closed. It is easy to go around in Bekasi because there are motorcycles and cars that could be hired, such as: Gojek or Grab. Just have the application and book when you need to go somewhere. Hiking and going to the parks would be good activities that can be done in the place.

Very happy we made a detour to Pangandaran.

Very happy we made a detour to Pangandaran. The highlight is the green valley and canyon tour. You can also get a tour in the national park which is super nice and if you have time a surf lesson. We visited during the week so it was fairly quiet, lovely sunset and they had an event with live music and DJ on the beach. At the weekend we heard this place can get very busy with people from the city coming as well as the tourists there to surf and explore.

The WHOOSH Speed Train was awesome fast, comfortable and gave us peace of mind traveling to Bandung. Travel from Halim (Jakarta) to Padalarang (Bandung vicinity) takes about 30 minutes at speeds up to 350 km/h. We recommend engaging a driver through Kiki Travel they were efficient and offered affordable rates, making the journey smooth and hassle-free to explore outside Bandung such as Lembang about 1hour from Bandung. Hygiene at this places is a major concerned cause they have to at least install a fly trap at the cafe and restaurant. Stunning view and nice location but lots of flies.

Bogor is a good area for a short break from the crowded Jakarta. lot's of food to try and fresh air. However, you need to consider the traffic, especially during weekends and long weekend. Could be challenging too.

I love the food!

I love the food! Aside from Nasi Lengko, or Nasi Jamblang, or Tahu Gejrot, you must try the seafood ASN, located at the Cirebon Port. Just Google it and you can find them. THey have great food with great price as well. Around the city is easy with public transportation or bring your own cars or motorcycle. THe weather is quite hot so you may want to bring sunscreen wherever you go. At some famous locations, the traffic could be worse so spare times in visiting locations. And don't forget to visit Batik Trusmi (BT) for various local batik clothing store.
