Brand new property in the heart of Gili T, near almost everthing but yet so serene. the harbour, cafes & bars with just 5-10 minutes walk. Bedroom was super clean, comfortable, and smells really good even in the bathroom. Breakfast was good and they served it to my room every morning. The staff was super nice, always asked if I need anything and they always willing to help. Looking forward to stay here again next time I’ll visit Gili T.

Truly a remarkable place and the best stay we’ve had on this trip through Bali and this little bit of Lombok. The facilities were lovely but not overly fussy. The staff were friendly and attentive with being intrusive. The room had lots of natural light and good translucent curtains that allowed in the sunshine without putting us on display. The location was an about 50 meters from the main road with stores and restaurants and a 2 minute walk to the harbor where we arrived and also booked our snorkeling trip. From there it was a 5 to 10 minutes clockwise around the island for the best sunset beachfront drinks and dining or 5 to 10 minutes counter clockwise for yoga, more restaurants overlooking Lombok (I assume you might also see a sunrise there you were a sunrise kind of person) and some great snorkeling from the beach. We spent a week there on our month-long vacation and, while that’s longer than you need to see Gili Air, I don’t regret a day.

Indonesia's Laid-back Lombok

A great alternative to busy Bali is lazy Lombok, a more authentic representation for tourists who wish to explore one of Indonesia’s more than 17,000 islands. It is separated from its naughty neighbor by the Lombok Strait to the east and from Sumbawa by the Alas Strait to the west.

Lombok is a typical island paradise of paddy fields, pristine beaches, jungle escapes and mountain retreats. It is largely inhabited by the local Sasak people with a small percentage of Balinese settlers.

Many hotels on Booking.com are centred around the capital of Mataram and the beaches stretching along the north-eastern coastline, including the sweeping bays of Senggigi. Medana Bay is another great northern location for people wanting to visit the nearby Gili Islands, a wonderful snorkeling location and nightlife choice.

Escape the tropical heat in the mountains surrounding Gunung Rinjani, an active volcano where tourists can break in their newly acquired trekking shoes. Other adventures abound on the southern surf beaches of Lombok.

Lombok International Airport is located 33 km south-west from Mataram and services daily flights mainly from Jakarta and Bali. This round-shaped island is approximately 80 km in both directions and offers plenty of variety for a great holiday.

Excellent villa with amazing views across Teluk Aan - amazing sea colours. 10 mins walk to Gerupuk village (or 5 mins scooter) for surfing trips which were excellent to a variety of locations in the bay and suitable for range of skills. Short drive to Kuta Lombok (15 mins) for dinner / more tourist activities - roads are empty and good due to the Moto GP circuit being built nearby - big contrast to Bali! Only about 30 mins from the airport. Villa has 4 double bedrooms, beautiful pool and terrace and open plan living area. We ate in the villa 2 nights - staff cook a great barbecue - the local lobster was outstanding definitely request this! Breakfast also very good - cooked whatever requested. Staff super friendly arranged car, boat trips etc and always on hand to help out.

5 star hospitality from Nova who showed my husband and I around and so enlightening. we stayed 5 days. I absolutely adored the staff at Quali and Qerang. special compliments to Ayu, Has, Hery, Ahmadin and Irwa. we took a group photos with them before we left. We basically just chilled in the hotels and swam. Food price is reasonable for the portion. They have seafood buffet by the beach on weekend.

I love the pool, friendly staff, nice and quiet, but not too far away from the beach and all you need. I loved that they do not have plastic water bottles at all. Fresh refills in glass bottles when you need water. I recommend hiring a bicycle they supply for IDR 50,000 a day.

I like to spend time there!

I like to spend time there! A lot of good restaurants, nice café coffee shops. There is a local market to buy fruits. The main beach in Kuta is awful, but the beaches around are stunning, such as Tanjung Ann (also for surfing), Tampah Beach, and Mawun! Paradise! Restaurants: La Cuna (Mexican), Elamu (great for a romantic dinner), Jiang Nan. If local – highly recommend Lalapan Amanda.

Gili Air is a cat lovers paradise.

Gili Air is a cat lovers paradise. There are cats in the hotels, bars and on the beach. Gili Air was very relaxing and quiet due to it being November and the start of the rainy season. The beach area on the western side is lovely to swim at with a small lagoon. There are a number of bars and restaurants on the beach. More restaurants and bars in the 'town' area. The food, drinks and accommodation are much cheaper than tourist Bali areas. The ferry from Bali takes around 4 hours from Sanur Harbour and stops at Nusa Peninda, Gili T, Gili Meno, Gili Air and Lombok. I highly recommend staying at Elephant House and Bungalows. The restaurants along the beach have good food, happy hour cocktails and cats. Getting around Gili Air can be difficult with luggage as there is no motorised transport and only one paved road, the rest of the roads/laneways are sand. There are bicycles and electric scooters available for hire. There are many water based activities on offer and tours to the other islands.

Stayed at tne katamaran hotel, stunning hotel with great food and provided a restful quiet break in stunning surroundings. Both restaurants on site provided great food. The spa was also gorgeous. The entire stay was heavenly! Alu at tne senggigi ferry port organised an amazing day snorkelling at three of the Gili islands. Paradise!

I love my scuba, for me Meno is the perfect place! Great dive sites, beautiful corals, full of life and colours, good for advanced or open water divers. For non divers can also be perfect, easy snorkeling, no cars or motorbikes, only walk (2 hours around the island) or push bikes. No big shops, very quite, but it's great to stay on the island, enjoy the water and the quite, for shopping Gili T is only 15 mins boat ride, but without the noise.

They will do almost anything to cater for travellers, for example I am 68 and wouldn’t have been able to do the 6 km walking tour up and down hills and uneven surfaces so they organised a motorbike tour which was great. The tour of the villages was also good and very interesting and informative to see the local market, pottery being made, textile weaving and bamboo weaving. There was a good variety of food and the family dinner was wonderful, so much delicious local food. The accommodation was suitable in a peaceful environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

Selong belanak is a charming location with friendly locals...

Selong belanak is a charming location with friendly locals and great food! Main beach Munah is buzzing with people holidaying and learning to surf With Warungs along the beach you can grab a board or a cold Bintang and enjoy the water Homestays are the way to go but there are also Also beachfront restaurants and resort style places. Beautiful surrounding areas and still quite enough to enjoy local farming I hope it stays this way and foreign resorts do not take over.

Was exhausted after Mt.

Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. But still a lovely place that has less tourists than other parts of Indonesia.

Strawberry picked was fun.

Strawberry picked was fun. Look at google maps to find places with at least 5 good reviews to find somewhere to go. Hiking Pergasagan Hill and spending the night was amazing! Only thing to note though is that there are a lot of mosques here and they are VERY loud. We didn't get much sleep during our stay.

Small island but has everything, the local are very friendly...

Small island but has everything, the local are very friendly, so many bar and nice restaurants, few places for party as well and of course crystal clear water and white sand beaches are perfect for relax but live music after sunset is my favorite in Gili Trawangan! I just wished that the club would open later than 1am but i guess that’s the local regulations so i get that.
