The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was clean, they had good drinks and the spa was quiet and not crowded at all. They also had a washing machine and dryer you could use for free. We went here in the middle of July.

Got stuck in Seyðisfjörður in a snow storm and this was the nicest and coziest place to be till it was over. Good people - the staff and the other guests! After the storm I got the see the landscape outside my window which was just stunning. I relied on public transport and the bus stop is just on the other side of the road.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir.

Everything was great, the new hotel manager made everything possible to make our stay an unforgettable experience. Rooms are confortable, delicious breakfast with homemade bread, butter, waffles and even goose eggs. She told us plenty of interesting stories of the place and Icelandic traditions and gave us advice of places to visit as well. Strongly recommended!
