We got the family room and it’s big. Two large double beds. It’s just down the street from the Duomo and right next to the Galleria Accademia. Across the Hotel is the Pallazo Medici Riccardi.     We stayed at the hotel in April 2025 as four families with children, and we had a fantastic experience. The family rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The garden area was lovely, with chairs, sun loungers, and tables that allowed us to enjoy lunch or dinner outdoors, in the fresh air and with stunning views of vineyards and forests. The kids played freely and safely on the grass while we relaxed nearby. Reception service was excellent—every request was answered quickly and with genuine care. Breakfast was rich, varied, and delicious. The pool area was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Each group of rooms had its own pool and kids' pool, giving us full privacy throughout our stay. It was a perfect vacation, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families and anyone looking for peace, comfort, and beautiful surroundings. ---

    What's not to like?! everything was perfect! The location is looking out into the hills surrounded by greenary it almost looks like a painting its so surreal. The room was very large and decorated beautifully. While we didn't get to use the pool or spa as we only stayed one night we did peak in and have a look and it was amazing. We did try to stay a second night to take full advantage but understanably they were fully booked. The food is definitely the star of the show though hard to believe when everything else was so good but the meal we had was devine! One of the best meals I have ever had accompanied with one of the best bottles of wine. A special mention also to the staff who were very friendly during our short stay. We willl 100% be back for a longer break to take full advantage of everything.

    Wonderful hotel, an island of comfort and relaxation right in the center of bustling area of big city. From the outside it does not look much maybe, but upon entering you get transported into a "resort" right in the middle of Florence. Lots of light, toned soft decor, water features, sun beds, trees and grass and the view to the famous Duomo cupola! Very nicely decorated, comfortable and quiet room. The hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. I do not remember when I was impressed so much with the accommodation!

    Absolutely amazing, we travelled to many places and we have to really think to find a better one that this Borgo del Cabreo. Quiet, not overcrowded, but you have the village very close to in case you want more activities to do. Overall excellent quality, clean. You have in a reasonable reach by car many places such as Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano,… To sum up, a true gem which we would try to come back at the next opportunity when we are in Italy.

    Amazing property - exceeds expectations in every way. The staff, the scenery, the luxe and comfy room decor, the lovely upgrade, and all the wonderful wine and food on property and in nearby Montefioralle and Greve. SO worth the trip. I wish we were here in the warmer months to make use of that beautiful pool with the to-die-for view!!!

    The place I stayed was great, the owner was so sweet that she was willing to give me a ride to the train station by my departure. The breakfasts that she made was very delicious and at the time I needed (for Tuscany tour i needed to leave at 6:30am instead of regular breakfast at 7:30am) she prepared it for me. Only some minus I would give to a distance from the train station to the property. But from other hand it was a good exercise:)

    San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

    there is a beautiful lake, many places to park for free or a nice marina that rents beach chairs , with full service bar and restaurant, paddle rent, etc. there is a race track with regular events, golf course near by and a famous shopping outlet, and its only 40 min from Florence.

    Fiesole has many sites to explore with its fantastic amphitheatre, monastery and cathedral. It has some excellent restaurants and local shops. We loved the Snooty Fox with its delicious authentic Italian food, Terrazza with its roof terrace with amazing views over Florence, Pizzeria Buca delle Fate, Ristorante BISTROT AL 5. Anyone who likes hiking in between city visits, will find some beautiful nature walks.
