I have no words to describe this stunning property. Conveniently located next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Spiaggia della Cava dell’Isola, the hotel features a gorgeous garden, a lovely terrace where breakfast is served, and a pool where you can relax after a day at the beach. The bus stop is just a 7-minute walk from the hotel, and tickets are available at the reception. But what truly sets this place apart is the dedication of the staff. Everyone is incredibly attentive, and Paola, the owner, helped us with everything we needed. She waited for us at the port and brought us to the hotel, gave us tips on what to visit, and even arranged early morning transport at 5 AM to Ischia Porto, where we had to catch the ferry. We were even able to enjoy a coffee and breakfast before leaving so early. We had a dream vacation. We hope to return someday. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Luxurious rooms with all the amenities required (and more) and breakfast is served on your private balcony every morning. We actually loved everything about this hotel. It is our first time on Ischia so we did not know much about the island and its neighborhoods. But now we know a bit more, and realize how lucky we were choosing Casa Guiseppina. 1. Ischia is a wonderful island. 2. The Sant Angelo area is really beautiful and cars are banned in the centre of the village. 3. The village of Succhivo, 1 km away is the perfect hub in the area. You have a bus stop, a snack bar and a nice restaurant "Osteria della Mamma". 4. Casa Guiseppina is the obvious place to choose for a stay. There are three sections of the hotel: the main building with the restaurant, the nearby annex with the pool, and a bit away they have some larger apartments. 5. The pool. We stayed in the pool section of the hotel. The building is affluently embedded in flowers, trees, pergolas and the vulcano-heated pool is pleasantly 35 degrees warm. 6. Rooms are rustic, cleaning is flawless. 7. The hosts are great and have an informal friendliness making you feel very welcome. 8. Breakfast is fresh with fruits, eggs by choise, and good coffee served at the table. 9. You can on a daily whim choose if you want dinner or not. Just tell before noon. 10. Dinner is a well tasting four course meal with a great mix of dishes focusing on vegetables, pasta, meat/fish + dessert. Of the + 50 hotels I reviewed in Booking, this is the kind of 3 star hotels you never would trade even if you are offered a 5 star alternative.

Waking up to that view was amazing! Also the fact that you can wake up and jump straight in the sea. The pasta was also amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The only thing, is that during our time there it was hard to get to the hotel. But once we knew we had to walk through the water to get there, we actually enjoyed the little adventure :) we travelled with our two children (5 and 7 years old). Staying at the Aragonese Castle was an unforgettable experience – one that words can hardly capture. I have loved this place ever since I first stepped inside, and on my sixth visit I finally had the chance to stay overnight. Experiencing the castle after dark was truly magical. From our balcony, we enjoyed breathtaking views over Ischia Porto, and our room was both beautiful and wonderfully comfortable. Another highlight was access to the private gardens, normally closed to the public but open to overnight guests. They are absolutely enchanting, and wandering through them felt like discovering a hidden treasure. Breakfast was also outstanding – fresh, high-quality ingredients and flavors that left us speechless. This place has completely captured our hearts. In fact, during our stay here we even got engaged, making it all the more special. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the unforgettable memories – we cannot wait to return.

Perched high over the bay beside Sant Angelo with breathtaking views! Christian, the proprietor could not do enough for us, a free upgrade to a junior suite (as we were honeymooners,) lovely breakfasts and he ferried us to and from the beach in his electric caddy car! The local beach is small but the best one we found, with Emanuella’s restaurant a must go to! Wonderful pastas and fish!

We stayed in a superior apartment with a kitchen. The apartment was located on the 2nd floor and had a large furnished balcony. It was very nice! We had breakfast for just 5 EUR per person, per day. Overall, the stay was decent value for money, for sure! Great location, it felt really secluded and "local", unlike the other part of the island that we visited too. The place around the hotel is very green, and it's not too far from the beach. I think it took us only about 20 min, which was always a nice walk. Keep in mind that the hotel is located on a hill, but it's not very steep. Also, the swimming pool was still working at the end of September, and the views on that level are superb!

Beautiful surroundings, gardens, lots of loungers, and chairs to rest. The location is excellent as very close to town and bus station. Delicious breakfast, always fresh ingredients, and homemade delicious cakes. We left early in the morning, and we were given sandwiches, fruit, and water for the road. Would definitely stay again if visiting this beautiful island.

Picturesque Island of Volcanic Rock, Thermal Spas and Pristine Beaches

Located 30 km from Naples and formed by a complex volcano, the pristine and breathtaking Ischia Island is Mother Nature’s hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is surrounded by an unspoiled coastline, thermal spas, several hiking routes and spectacular scenery.

Built in 474 BC, Aragonese Castle which is perched on natural volcanic rock, is the most impressive historical monument on Ischia Island, and is a modern day reminder of the islands past. Another wonder of island is the Gardens of La Mortella. Filled with tropical and Mediterranean plants, these picture-perfect gardens offer some of the best views over the region and Forio Harbour.

Other attractions on Ischia Island are beaches such as Maronti Beach and Citara Beach. There is also the Angelo Rizzoli Museum, which is a museum of the famous Italian publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli, along with the mushroom rock (known to locals as the Fungo) located just off the port of Lacco Ameno. Several local restaurants and bars are scattered around the island serving traditional and local delights.

One of the most interesting and unique areas on Ischia Island is the bay of Citara, and the famous Poseidon thermal Gardens. It features several pools, spas, a traditional Roman Sauna, a private beach and various restaurants. Visitors also have great transportation links by bus around the island.

the hotel is placed in an excellent position, easily reached with a short walk. It is also a few metres away from the Ischia Port Terminal and from there you can catch a bus (actually a mini-bus as the streets of Ischia are quite narrow) to just about anywhere on the island. The staff were very friendly and courteous offering precise explanations and details. Highly recommended if you simply want to relax! An added treat (which we did not know about when we booked) was the "percorso benessere" included in the price!

It was amazing rest, everything was perfect: polite personal , cleanliness everywhere, beautiful see! It was so nicely look at how the staff is helping old people come out from the see)). This hotel is very comfortable, and it has everything what you need: the beach is near by, the beach towels , the fridge in the room, perfect coffee. We didn’t expect, but we got only best impressions from our vacation)!

The hotel is at a very central location, very alive but still quiet. It’s very clean and although the building is maybe a bit old, all facilities are perfectly functioning. It’s also very safe for female travelers. But the big plus of this hotel is the staff- always genuine smiling and helpful, they are really adding at the experience! I hope we return one day and definitely we will stay again at Conte!

The breakfast was sufficient for the price. Enjoyed the fresh fruit, honey, almonds, goji berries. Great value for the location, cleanliness, on point service and amazing massage at the spa! Enjoyed the thermal spa experience especially given the price point. The staff was very helpful, polite and accommodating, gave dining recommendations and helped with luggage and taxi.

Excellent and extremely helpful owners who gave great recommendations for dining out in Forio and the local area. Free shuttle service helped us get around the island as well as the local bus service which stops just outside the hotel. Clean rooms and a great view.

A beautiful island with a range of personal experiences that...

A beautiful island with a range of personal experiences that made our vist unique. Everyone we met was so friendly and we enjoyed all of our time on the island. We did find the roads very narrow and different to drive with a hire car. Th thermal pools at Poseidon were outstanding. We visited in mid-October and found that the island was in the process of shutting down for the off season. Despite this, we are now missing the fabulous family run restaurants and quiet hotel. Would love to go back and visit again.

One of the best places I've been.

One of the best places I've been. Everything was wonderful from beaches to restaurants to views. We took advantage of the local bus service to get to S. Angelo in 2 directions. The rides were unbelievable. Will hire a scooter next time.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem. Not many tourists there this time of year (october). We loved Poseidon. The town Sant'Angelo was beautiful! The Marina/beach and restaurants nearby was very quaint and clean.
