This is the place to stay in Stresa. Fabulous quiet views over the lake. The views and tranquility were only surpassed by the friendly , professional staff. Carlo, manager ,and the rest of the team , assisted with everything we needed - locations to visit , gaining tickets and arranging transport . They provide an incredible tasty breakfast , and you will not have to eat until dinner ! The facility is spacious , clean and has self contained kitchen facilities. Fantastic location (hidden gem) overlooking the local lake, had evening meal on restaurant terrace lakeside food/service was outstanding, reception staff fantastic/welcoming (good English) excellent quality and value. Worth noting Mergozzo is slightly away from lake Maggiore but quieter more intimate and much better value. Mergozzo is a fantastic place to spend a couple of days, also good for enjoyable overnight if travelling via Simplon pass, will stay again.

the location was excellent. close to main shopping and the lake The breakfast was nice but it could of had a little more variety The daughter of the owner, who helped with check in and check out was amazing. went way above what was expected. Even allowing me to use her phone to call outside of Italy to help with an enquiry I needed to sort out re our vacation.
