Hotel is just by the lake across the road, and room had lake view. It is really relaxing and staff is very friendly. Location is great. They have parking that is not expensive (5 EUR for whole day) and bus station is right by hotel, they also provided us with number of taxi that is available on call.

Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station.

Small train station adjacent to hotel made for a convenient (and Old World) arrival. Breakfast was a choice of gourmet dishes; dinner was an array of local and seasonal dishes. Wine tasting was beyond my expectations. View was an ever-changing panorama of the lake. When it was dry, it was an easy walk to Bled along the lake path, an easy 30 minute walk to the Gorge and about two hours to walk around the entire lake. When it rained, I spent lazy days enjoying the indoor pool, sauna and cozy bar downstairs (best place to read) - all of which had unobstructed views to the lake. Staff were wonderful; facilities and room were immaculate yet homey (this is the only hotel I've stay at with Persian rugs in the elevator). It was like being a pampered guest at a family estate.

Fabulous! Everything was perfect! Location, the garden in the evening having a drink as if we were spectators overlooking the surrounding mountains and the playfull sun, sunset and clouds show, cleanliness, breakfast, relaxed atmosphere, services and kind and helpful staff.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Julian Alps. Everything is perfect: from breakfast, plenty of house made options and fresh products - to dinner, with a fixed course menu which was amazing and fairly priced. The rooms are comfortable, modern and cozy. We slept soundly. Staff is friendly, nice and well prepared to host guests in the best possible way. Location is wonderful, 5km from Bled, away from traffic and people and close to amazing experiences - we walked to the Vintgar Gorje directly from the Hotel and we went to climb Viševnik with a 20min trip by car. The hotel has also e-bikes for you and there are tons of cycling paths that you can do from the place. I would absolutely advice to book your stay here.

Absolutely everything! The staff were exceptional, always friendly and attentive. The room was superb, beautifully appointed with a wonderful bath where you could lie and gaze at the stunning mountain views. To top everything off the restaurant served the most amazing food and is well worthy of its two Michelin stars!

    - Location - Marco and Riga, who were extremely helpful - Cooking utensils and oven - Beautiful view of the mountain - Just 10 min from the town centre - Riga helped us to book adventure activities - We were late to reach Bovec by almost 1 hour at night. Riga still waited and picked us up. Without his help, it would have been difficult for us to find the property at night with heavy rain

    The hospitality of Ana and the owners was simply great. All were very kind and helpful. The chalet was extraordinary with an unique view towards the valley. Nothing was missing here.     Very cozy room, said “mini double” but it was actually just a normal double room, even there were a their bad. We had great window view, all equipment inside, but no minibar (what is basically great🤣 no money waisted) I didn’t try spa, but the breakfast was very good.

    Bled is a hidden gem in Slovenia.

    Bled is a hidden gem in Slovenia. The lake and surrounding area are stunning. I would suggest exploring a little further afield especially if you are one who enjoys the outdoors, opportunities are abundant. The choices for dining are many, everything from grocery store “ready meals” to fine dining (do try the local dishes). Bled is easily walkable for all ages, also cyclists are welcome. Be mindful that Vintgar is popular and can be quite busy.

    Scenery in and around Kranjska Gora is stunning. Clean, safe, good bus service to Ljubljana, and lots of cafes and restaurants. Lake Jasna is particularly beautiful. Plenty of places to hire bikes, with beautiful bike trails .

    We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake...

    We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. If we went back again we would stay in Bohinj as a base and move around from there.

    Our trip was in summer. As a town/area Tarvisio wasn't as quite as nice (in summer) as other places we stayed out in nearby Slovenia, but it was fine. I imagine the location would be perfect for ski-season.

Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river.     We used the town as a base for visiting Lake Bled and the surrounding area. It made for a quieter less touristy base than Lake Bled itself. The old town was charming with several nice restaurants / cafes.

    Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is...

    Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is really happening there. It is quite small and very quiet with supermarkets in the vicinities. The best thing about Lesce is it central location to all the major areas around Lake Bled.

    A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey.

    A beautiful quaint town on the Soca Vaey. Loads of swimming spots along the river, and a place to rent kayaks, sups etc at the dam. I recommend travveling along the river, up to Gabrje and further for more beautiful river locations. We stayed just outside of town, which I recommend if you have your own transport. I didn't do anything in the town itself as its great just to relax along the river on a sunny day, or go kayaking on the river.

    Superbly scenically beautiful.

    Superbly scenically beautiful. We loved walking around Lake Bled, exploring the island and walking up to the castle. We enjoyed taking the shuttle bus to Vintgar Gorge , walking through the beautiful gorge and then walking back to Bled through forest and rural area. Wonderful.
