- From $242.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 535 reviewsWe were in the area for work and took a couple days extra to relax and enjoy fall on the Amalfi Coast. We were so lucky to find Hotel & Resort Le Axidie, it checked all the boxes and exceeded expectations. The resort has a private beach, swimming pool, and outdoor heated pools that are just beautiful. The bar and beachside bistrot are always staffed and ready with drinks, snacks, and lunch. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The cleanliness is amazing and the fragrance everywhere makes you feel like you're in the tropics. Views are unbelievable, the Vesuvius is right in front of your eyes, towering over the sparkling blue bay of Naples. Food was excellent, the fabulous breakfast buffet complete with eggs and bacon, as well as the gourmet restaurant, both rooftop so with the ultimate vista. A shuttle is available to take guests into the town of Vico Equense. For a change of scenery there are a couple of restaurants and a cocktail bar just outside of the resort property. We highly recommend Hotel & Resort Le Axidie for your next Amalfi Coast vacation!Guest review byBonnieItaly
- From $1,076.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 137 reviewsMy wife and I went for a few days trip to Amalfi coast and stayed here for 3 night. The hotel is 5min walk from the center and the old city with good reaurants within 1min walk. The whole experience from the check-in to check out was incredible. The staff was helpful in any way I can imagine. They , per our ask, recommended restaurants and reserved for us. Booked us a driver to Positano and to Napoli. They were very attentive to all our needs. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices in the buffer us omletes to order. Rooms are beautiful, big with high ceiling, huge mirrors and very clean overlooking the bay. The hotel provides free lounge with food and drinks including soft drinks, wine, prosecco and alcohol in the evening which is super nice. We took benefit of it every evening to relax before dinner. Definitely recommended and when we come to this region will stay again. To the staff, thank you for all your help.Guest review byRamIsrael

Sorrento is very picturesque and lively. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars, plus lots of lanes crammed with small shops. The town is ideally placed to get the train to Pompeii and for boat trips to Capri.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We had ashort visit and enjoyed the beautiful views. The nature of the coastline requires a long walk down from the town to access the beach but there are small buses between the beach and the railway station. Information on this would be helpful prior to visiting and there was no signage which would help a tourist as far as we could see. There is atourist info office in the town.Guest review byLaneUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Horrible! Crowded, and the traffic is insane.
Horrible! Crowded, and the traffic is insane. People drive as if they want to die. Reckless motorcycles everywhere. If you come from a place where traffic is organized and respectful, do not go there.Guest review byJuanUnited States - 10.0

Divine. The loc was fabulous and will always recommend this location to people. The mountain, the hills, the smell, the city had nice restaurants, and the dinner was delicious and pretty places to take pictures. Train from Sorrento to Naples to Amalfi Coast was astonishing. There was not much in piano de sorrento but it was a good base for visiting sorrento and all the attractions , not many restaurants and bars there so hard to find a place to have food, beach was lovely but was down a steep decline and walking there was quite dangerous because I'm of lack of footpaths and drivers are crazy 🤪Guest review byAnneIreland - 10.0

Lovely village. Fabulous views of Bay of Naples, Capri and coastal area. gorgeous cafe across from Church del Lauro. friendly and chatty owner. Local Sita bus available and frequent - central to visit Piano de Sorrento, north to naples and down south to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast. Supermarkets/local shops for supplies.Guest review bysandraIreland - 8.0

It was fantastic. Great views. Beautiful culture, area, lots to do. Kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking every meal but you don’t need to. Affordable local restaurants are walking distance and the best food we had in Italy. Try Eugenia. - restaurant a bit down from the church.Guest review byJonathonUnited States - 10.0
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends.
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. And finally, Pino is such an amazing host! He helped us with everything we need, from finding best restaurants around to having some music in the villa.Guest review byAgneBaLithuania - 8.0

If you only have a few days, you should stay in Amalfi, or Positano or Capri, etc. Sorrento is nice but not as special. If you have many days then stay in Sorrento and do day trips. Sorrento is easier to navigate than say Capri because it's larger, but Capri is beautifulGuest review byJudithUnited States - 10.0
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro.
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro. It’s a must-try experience—the pizza is delicious, authentic, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Where we ate: Most of the time, we enjoyed a mix—some meals at home, plenty of pizza at Pizza al Metro, lunches and snacks while out on the boat, and groceries from Conad when we wanted something simple. Getting around: Getting around Vico Equense is very easy—if you have a car. The roads are manageable, parking is available with some planning, and driving makes it simple to explore the surrounding towns and coast. Without a car, moving around could be more challenging. Fun activities for groups of friends: Visiting Positano – an absolute must for its iconic views, boutique shops, and vibrant atmosphere. Exploring Pompeii – a fascinating and powerful experience, especially with a good guide. Renting a boat – one of the highlights, giving us the freedom to enjoy the coastline, swim in hidden spots, and see the Amalfi Coast from the sea. Overall, Vico Equense was a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure—amazing food, convenient location, and plenty of activities for groups of friends.Guest review byDumitrița
