Del Corto Suites strikes a balance between grandeur and intimate, achieved by the warm hospitality of the owners & hosts - still family owned. Super comfy beds. Clean. Parking in front for free. Home made cakes for breakfast. Fantastic coffee! Owner is very helpful in sharing info about everything you might want to visit. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Toiletries available in room. Internet on the floor is good. Gorgeous big balcony on the floor with chairs to enjoy the sunset and breeze in the evening (in June we needed something to cover ourselves even though during the day was 30). It was perfect to rest and sleep, the air and possibilities to make room dark made it perfect. There are nets so windows can stay open even though there is forest around. It's not crowded and people are mainly visiting around so we had pool to ourselves however it is open til ll 7pm only. We loved location even though road is not the nicest to reach from main street but it's in forest on hill with lovely view.

Relais & Chateaux IL Falconiere was an exceptional property and worthy of 5 stars. It was the perfect oasis right outside of Cortona to enjoy both the Tuscany and Umbria hilltowns. We stayed a total of three nights having dinner at the one star michilien restaurant two nights and the ambiance, service and quality of dining were exceptional. It was really enjoyable to spend the day driving in the nearby Tuscan and Umbrian villages and then enjoy a late afternoon couple of hours in our own tuscan countryside with pool and fine dining experience. Breakfasts in the original greenhouse were also outstanding with ambiance and local abundance!

A beautiful historic town and one of our favourite stays on our 10-day Italy roadtrip. We traveled as a couple (in our 35-40's), and highly recommend staying at La Romantica Lolo, having a private wine tasting at Ercolani, dining at Ristorante La Grotta, and truffle hunting at Podere il Casale (15-min drive).

The town is nice.

The town is nice. It is a quiet time of the year, but the merchants we encountered were friendly. The Terme Theia was ok, but the management inflexible when I tried to inform them of a booking error within 24hours of making it they did not reply to my emails, and when I spoke to the they said that once I paid there was no refund or changes. I prefer the Terme sensoriale, but unfortunately they are only open on weekends

We love Cortona and its Etruscan history and have visited many times. The views are wonderful and walking around the area that has limited motor vehicle access is great. There are a lot of very good restaurants and shops. You won't be disappointed.

Town of Chiusi consist of two parts. Stick to the historical side on the hill for best town experience, good restaurants and Tuscan feeling. Use the newer part of the town only for your grocery, petrol and laundry needs.

The village itself doesn't have much to offer.

The village itself doesn't have much to offer. It is very tiny and has maybe one bar or restaurant. Its advantage is that it's close to a number of Tuscan towns with numerous sights like Siena, Arezzo and Montepulciano.

A beautiful Tuscany village, like out of a postcard. Narrow winding streets, a really neat town square- the Piazza Garibaldi- had breakfast there every morning at the Bar Langola. Neat restaurants and shops. Great location, only @40 km from Florence, 200 km to Rome. Easy access to anywhere in Tuscany and the Chiani Valley. I could retire here. FYI, no public transportation, best to rent a car. The streets are beautiful but challenging, drive carefully.

The swimming pool was lovely.

The swimming pool was lovely. The room whilst perfectly adequate was not as shown in the photograph whilst booking. The shower in the bathroom was a clumsy hand held one that you had to use whilst standing in the bath. The restaurant food was not very good when compared with other local restaurants and the service was somewhat chaotic. Better to go five minutes down the road to the local trattoria.

Montepulciano is THE Tuscan hill-town to stay in. It is a bit bigger than its neighbors and is a fun place to wander around in. There's a lovely cafe, Lalma, just up the street from Casa degli Orti. There's great art in the town along with wonderful views, and of course, don't forget the wine! Lots of opportunities to taste what Tuscany has to offer. We had a car so we were able to drive to the other hill-towns. Pienza is cute; get some cheese! Montalcino was delightful. The whole area is simply jawdroppingly beautiful!

a nice town with an old part behind the walls. lots of greenery, parking lots and bars, walking paths and restaurants.During the day, we walked around Okpliška, in the evening we came to the city for dinner and to the accommodation to rest. we ate at pizzeria Rosso vivo. I have never had a better pizza, the price was not too high either. The food at La Torretta was also very tasty.
