Our stay at this winter hotel was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect — just steps away from the ski lift, making every morning incredibly convenient. Even on the most active skiing days, starting the adventure was a breeze without the hassle of a long commute to the slopes. The rooms were cozy and offered breathtaking mountain views. Coming back here after a day on the slopes was pure bliss. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the thoughtful details in the decor that created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfasts were amazing — diverse and filling. Each morning, I felt energized and ready to conquer the slopes. In the evenings, returning to the hotel meant enjoying a relaxing spa session or indulging in a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. They provided me with plenty of helpful tips on routes, equipment rentals, and even shared some local secrets about the best runs. If you’re looking for the perfect place for a winter getaway that combines comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, this hotel is exactly what you need. I’m already planning to come back next season!

Most comfortable bed in Italy so far! Great views from room & balcony. Beautiful art through-out hotel. Good location, quiet as not main road. Staff friendly. Provision of slippers/robes/quality toiletries/fruit&nuts. Kettle, tea&coffee and actual glassware in room. Fantastic breakfast. Bathroom big, good water pressure.

The breakfast was very good. And the location was very close to the si lift, a big bonus is that the bus station is right in the front of the building. They also offer dinner on request. In the morning you can see the menu of the day and if you like it you can order and when you come back from ski a nice warm meal will wait for you. The rooms were very clean.

The walk from the San Pellegrino pass to rifugio fuciada is fantastic as it is pretty flat, not too far (8 km round trip approx) and can be done with snow boots even in Dec/Jan. The scenery of the mountains and warm atmosphere, drinks and food of the rifugio make it an fabulous winter walk. Busses are available from Moena to the pass.

There are three lifts close to the village and buses which are free to guest card holders which go to at least 8 more. There are suggestions of hikes from the top of all these lifts. The website fassa.com is full of information.

Brilliant base for summer hiking.

Brilliant base for summer hiking. We did a three day hike, taking a taxi from Vigo to Fie/Vols, on the other side of the mountains (cost €130 for 4). Staying in a hotel in Vigo allows you to come and go between stays in mountain refuges. Next time we come, we will try to do a Via Ferrata from a refuge to get on top of one of the high peaks.

Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda...

Canazei is located at the southern part of the Sella Ronda domain and you need to take a couple of lifts up to the slopes. There are also buses to get to different parts of the domains, and though they run regularly their frequency changes. Apres-ski life is more on the quiet side in Canazei and while there are a lot of restaurants in the village, we didn't find anything the marked us. There's a great (but pricey) swimming pool and wellness center and shops are OK for such a village.

The ski bus service in Val di Fassa is really poor. The timetables are completely confusing and the frequency of connections (especially towards Campitello and Cannaze) is insufficient - often less thand once per hour!

Either you pay for parking by the slopes/cabin lifts, or you pay for skibus 😔. In any way, you pay. If you are her for skiing, be at lifts at 7:45 or after 10:00. Time between, you will wait 1 hour minimum... we have tried 3 places, still the same. Weather was nice, you just pay extra money for sun.

Moena is fantastic place in the beautiful Dolomites - it is...

Moena is fantastic place in the beautiful Dolomites - it is not on the doorstep of the skiing resorts, but a short transfer (15min) will take you to the most common ones - San Pellegrino area being our favourite. While not being on the doorstep of skiing, it has the advantage that you can try out different areas, all with different characteristics.

enchanting place, from this position it is possible to reach many other beautiful locations and services for the various winter skiing activities in a short time. Our stay at the GH hotel Piaz was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Property was quite spacious, well equipped and clean. Only two bathrooms might be insufficient for 8-10 people but it was known from before as properly mentioned in the description. The location within the village of Vigo is very good - up to 5 minutes walk from centre, buss stop for the valley and Bolzano and a large supermarket. Host (we never met in person) was helpful, although a bit slow in answering. The mountain need no recommendation of course, but is is probably worth saying that Vigo appears to be quite a good location for trips in various directions - using bus or car for 15-25 minutes before the hiking. We did no biking but there are very good opportunities for this as well.
