It is an unforgettable experience that we stay in this hotel, the whole hotel staffs and facilities are great. We forgot to take the mobile battery while we check-out the hotel, but they helped to send us forgotten items to our next hotel in Sendai. Everything was wonderful! The staff was so nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and even made me as a European long for more Japanese breakfast. It's the little things, that make this hotel so special. I had a great time, thank you!

We loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. We are cycling in Japan and are usually a mess by the time we arrive and they helped us find a place for our bikes and quickly check us in. All the drinks, snack and popsicles were unlimited and a joy. I made an espresso in the AM. Perfect. The dinner was exquisite. One of our favorites with fresh sashimi, and light delicate tempura. All the staff explained each item and local ingredients made it extra special. We ate double gohan beer had a big appetite. Special thanks to all who made us feel welcomed! The 2 crazy cyclists!

APA provides you with all the facilities and amenities you need. The location is convenient to Aomori station, on a quiet street. We were backpacking up to Hokkaido and needed to stay somewhere for a night. We also had a huge load of laundry to do, and they provide an efficient washing & dryer. I remember the staff was really welcoming at the door!! :) That night there was a festival on, and we could hear the fireworks

Amazing indoor and outdoor onsen on the 10th floor. Room was very spacious by Japanese standards. Loved the free late night ramen as well and the complimentary shuttle to the train station. Great location and has a convenience store nearby. Very warm in freezing winter, which was appreciated. The bed was also very comfortable.

Hon-Hachinohe has far more to offer than we could fit into...

Hon-Hachinohe has far more to offer than we could fit into our three-day visit—we truly wished we had stayed longer. The Korekawa Jomon Archaeological Museum was exceptional, offering a fascinating look at the area's ancient past. The Tanesashi Coast was another highlight, with its beautiful and easy-to-navigate hiking trails. In the center of town, we explored the Hachinohe Portal Museum, known as ‘Hacchi’—a six-floor space that blends cultural center, artist studios, and local exhibits. The staff there were especially welcoming and helpful. We didn’t have time to visit the Art Museum or the History Museum, Maybe next time

We visited Hirosski to view the Castle and the Rice Paddy Art. These are both easy to visit. We were delighted to find that it is the apple centre of Japan and this was well reflected by the information available and the cartoon characters at the station.

Even though Towada is about 60,000 population (big to me),...

Even though Towada is about 60,000 population (big to me), it is very walkable. Lots of parks to visit (don't miss the Marshmallow House) and you can't beat the food you find in c-stores (Lawsons, 7-11, Family Mart) all over Japan. Towada is a good central location for day trips (if you have a car) to gorges, lakes, mountains, etc.

Ajigasawa itself is a small Japanese town and it was interesting to wander around for an afternoon. Most of the sights are outside of the town and we did not get to them because we did not have a car. It isn't touristy, more of a place to enjoy Japan as it is.

It was a mistake booking a hotel in Nojeji for our intended purpose. We did mot expect we will be inconvenience by the bad decision. The train station is very old. There is no elevator so going up and down the stairs is a challange condidering we have hand carried luggage There is very limited transport and there is nothing to do there except onsen which is not important for me

A quiet town as we stayed near Aomori station it was convenient to take train to Akita, Hirosaki.. The beach, A-Factory is nearby - walking distance it was great for evening walk to view sunset and the cold sea breeze blowing - it was beautiful walk.

This was my location for my real introduction to Japan and its culture. Hachinohe is ideal because of the intersection of rail, bus and cars giving the traveler many options. I am particularly interested in the Tohoku coast.

The host, Akira, greeted us with a glass of their local...

The host, Akira, greeted us with a glass of their local apple juice (from their neighbor actually). It was a nice surprise! The house is located on a nice and quiet neighborhood and is surrounded by apple orchards. Since this is a home stay, towels aren’t included but you can request them for ¥100 per person. They offered to change the sheets after 3 days but we declined. Akira’s wife, Yo’ne, even took stride to learn how to ask “Did you have a good night’s sleep” in our language. She stated that she does that for every international guests they have. It was nice personal touch. If you plan to stay here, you’ll need a car as it’s about 15 minutes from the city center. However, the Go app (Japan’s version of Uber) works fine albeit a little pricier than the big cities. Other than that, we had a very lovely stay.

A beautiful city with plenty to see and do. Really recommend the ‘Aja’ restaurant, diagonally opposite the hotel - great staff and menu, and quite quirky. Your apples are fantastic - make sure you get visitors to buy them! Thank you so much for making our stay so fantastic.
