There are spaces for children like parks, swan boat rides and easy drives to places like Yanagawa for its canals and local craft, Yame for craft, Kurume for fruit picking and Momochi Beach presents an amazing sunset. We were super happy with everything regarding our stay. Our room was very well thought-out with beautiful touches and the private onsen was just perfect. The staff were amazing and the setting of the place was very beautiful. The city is a bit more worn down then I remember from prior trips. Lots of good places have closed or changed into different businesses. The construction is also more frequent around the main station. The food is still just as good as ever and there are still hidden gems if you explore some of the less traveled areas. This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day escape from routine trip. Some attractions like shrines, few hiking trails and a railway museum are around.
