Beautiful designed accommodation and ideal location as it is just across the river. We were able to walk to dinner in under 15mins each night Incredibly helpful staff who booked dinner reservations for us. We followed a recommendation for a local oden spot and it became a real highlight of the trip. We would love to visit again! Parking spot was convenient.

It was a long drive up the Noto Peninsula and we had to drive along a narrow road through a short stretch of forest before we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful facade of the hotel. The entire stay was a pampering experience. The view from the room was amazing. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared and served in private rooms. We had a 50 min private bath which was extremely soothing. There were small zen gardens, libraries in a corner, and cupboards full of yukatas of different colors and designs. These were very pleasant to the eyes. I also liked how courteous and attentive the hotel staff were.

We loved the old school vibe, the transport to the property, the onsens were great (the water one could be renovated a bit), the views are amazing. The tatami were great! Food was amazing! Please get the breakfast and dinner option because the last shuttle bus from the kagaonsen station is at 17h. We were sad we didn’t do that because the food was 10/10.

Everything was exactly as shown. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was gorgeous. The pyjamas they provided were very comfy too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. They have bikes available for rent too! Our favourite bit was that we had a lovely hanging plant in our room.

Location is the best with train and bus station around. KIRARI sushi next to the hotel is excellent!! The staff helped me with an extra charger for the night. Also one international plug socket in the room was crucial. No other hotel during my Japan trip had that. Much needed for my laptop.

Kanazawa was a really nice experience.

Kanazawa was a really nice experience. It has a lot of different things to do and most of them are walking distance (if staying in a centric area). Breakfast was tough to obtain, for some reason we had a hard time finding local places open early in the morning. But overall, it is a great place to visit. It has the sea and mountains. Plenty of shrines, museums and shopping malls.

Nanta-dera is only a 15 minute drive away which was beautiful with the autumn leaves. The walk along the river in Yamanaka is stunning all year round. Yamanake is famous for wood turning so there is plenty of crafts to see. Nearby and also huge ancient cedar trees and it is an area of plentiful hot springs.

The hotel was fantastic, evening and more than my team expected! We loved the traditional clothing and meals, especially dinner. The breakfast for most Americans is a little rough. The hot springs were EPIC and the swimming was just right. Thank you

The seaside accomodation was just as advertised.

The seaside accomodation was just as advertised. The host was helpful and a delight. She made sure we had a lovely 2 nights there. Rooms were well presented and large with amenities that were first rate. The glass manufacture workshop and the glass museum were well woth the trip. The glass gallery is world class and the architecture special and suited to its location. The aquarium was disappointing. Show was good but the maintenance of the facility needs work.

Very beautiful town.

Very beautiful town. There's so many places of interest to visit, we did not cover all even though we spent 3 nights there. We will be back again. We were surprised that there's so many things made of gold in Kanazawa.

The onsen was totally Japanese in style and attention to detail, very relaxing and with a staff dedicated to providing the best service. They were attentive and helpful. The forest near the onsen was beautiful for hiking and contemplating nature. Loved it. I will definitely return and to the same onsen.

Much quieter than Tokyo of course but it’s buzzing and...

Much quieter than Tokyo of course but it’s buzzing and brimming with yummy restaurants, fun bars and amazing views of old historical Japan with the tea and samurai districts. US equivalent would be Savannah as many of the old houses have been maintained or restored for modern use while keeping the antiquated look. Plenty to see and do in 2-4 days.
