This was truly an amazing stay and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Located very close to the train station, it was super convenient to access on foot, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free.
The room was incredible, with a beautiful view overlooking the river—falling asleep to the sound of the water was so calming. We even saw fireflies while relaxing in our private hot tub, which made for such a romantic and unforgettable evening. The food was by far the best we had during our trip. Every dish came in a perfect flow, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that free drinks were included! The staff were also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and even catered to our request for one meal to be seafood-free without any issues. There’s also a lovely souvenir shop by reception with lots to choose from.
Out of all the places I researched in Hakone, this one offered some of the best value for money. The quality of the experience far exceeded our expectations, and I’m so happy we chose to stay here. It’s perfect for couples, but also great for families—they even offer private family baths for rent. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent place to stay. Magnificent onsen and ski slopes. This hotel is a perfect place for people who love skiing and look for open-air onsen. Buffet breakfast and dinner are great. You can eat crab as much as you can. Open-air bath is very beautiful. Ski-in ski-out hotel. Acess to the hotel is convenient via shuttle bus from Karuizawa station.

Excellent hotel near the venue of the annual conference. Absolutely stunning view of Tokyo Bay. Small but cozy rooms with everything you need. The hotel has several cafes and restaurants, as well as shops where you can always buy groceries, cosmetics and an adapter for an outlet in case you forgot to take it with you.

I stayed here as a solo traveler last December, and this is my second stay. The hotel environment is very comfortable, the staff are very friendly, and the location is very close to the 巣鴨駅. There are also many shops nearby, making it very convenient.
Hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate me after my travel plans were significantly altered due to a weather event. Staff made sure I had a room even though I came several days late and refunded the days I missed without even asking.

It's like home away from home.
It's like home away from home. The vast choice of restaurants is amazing. The mass transit infrastructure is so advanced. Convenient in many ways. Very beautiful city day or nite. The quite residential neighborhoods are very tranquil. Walking around at nite in quite or less busy areas still feel safe. Sometimes the JR station staff may come across as less than friendly mainly because of language barrier.

Close to the cruise ship terminal, easy to walk around to China town and along ocean side. The area was sad and clean. Across the street from museum and loads of great restaurants. The room is well laid out and clean. The staff excellent help. Check in on the second floor. Staff kept our luggage until check in. Yokohama is easy to get around at. No complaints

A quiet town but buzzling with Tradition and History. The food is amazing and the Onsen's are good. Biggest Challenge here is the transport. I recommend renting a car here especially if you want to go to neighbouring areas like Shizuoka, Fujikawaguchiko and Kamakura so see Mt. Fuji.

Don’t stay at an airport hotel unless you have an early am flight. Hotels are too far from amenities. Train service in Japan is so good that you can stay an extra day in Tokyo and other areas close to Tokyo and get to airport if your flight is later

Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.

I really enjoyed the city of Nikko—it is truly beautiful and delightful to visit. Its location in the mountains, surrounded by valleys and stunning natural scenery, creates a very peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this city, especially during autumn when the colors are absolutely breathtaking.
However, many restaurants close quite early, and some even stopped accepting guests before their posted closing time. In the evening, most shops were already closed, which made it a bit challenging to find dining options at night.
For those planning a trip here, it is much more convenient to have your own car, as the buses often arrive late and are frequently full. Despite these minor inconveniences, Nikko remains a wonderful destination and is definitely worth visiting.

Nice place to stay easy to reach by metro from Haneda.
Nice place to stay easy to reach by metro from Haneda. Easy to get to Tokyo and other interesting locations like Kamakura. Considerably less expensive than staying in Tokyo. Feels like a real Japanese city not touristy. Not a place to go if you are into big city commotion. The open air folk museum is excellent.

If you have been in Tokyo for enough time it is interesting to visit Kamakura where there are lovely Temples and gardens and it's not far to the beach. We were there for 3 days and that was enough to see everything on the list of attractions.

Nice quiet suburb of Tokyo that isn't overpriced or infested with tourists, but also still has easy, reasonably direct access to Tokyo city center. Only downside is there's not too much in terms of nature or views, but overall still have a nice relaxing vibe.
