Perfect view of Fuji San and nice hot springs available. Perfect and warm staff who really helped us a lot, like late car picking for our pregnant friend and free delivery of my lost scarf. It is really a pleased and warm trip in the hotel, and would definitely rebook next time.

View was amazing. Loved the bath. House was very spacious and luxurious. Service was fantastic. Toiletries were generous and we were extremely grateful for the child specific items. Chicken sukiyaki dinner was delicious and we were very impressed with the selection of drinks in the fridge.

I recommend staying. I wrote a long review separately which I hope is useful; please refer to that. In addition, for young children, you can visit the sheep shed where they keep the sheep to see sheep up close, wander down and the up the hill behind reception, and get the best tasting soft serve ever from the restaurant!

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.

We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek. There were some tourists, but not very many. It was good to have a car to explore. We went to -Kofu Castle Ruins (peak bloom time!) -Yamanashi Fruit Park -Maglev Exhibition Center We ate at -TREE Anthony's Kitchen (AMAZING Greek Food) -Kaosen Thai (eh)

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hr

If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. Incredibly serene and quieter than areas like Hakone. ( Hakone is VERY beautiful but tons of tourist)

The place was amazing. The people of Fujikawaguchiko were friendly and helpful. The landscape and nature was beautiful. From biking around the lake, walking to the waterfall and hiking on the trails it was wonderful. Although tourists ourselves, I wish those visiting would be better examples to the countries they represent.
