- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 195 reviewsService was extremely thoughtful! The server who checked us in escorted us to our room, and even tidied our shoes! At keiseki dinner and breakfast, as a family with kids, the service was very polished, and the server really could anticipate our needs and acted proactively, to the point of surprising us! The meals were elaborate and of extremely high quality. Both the public onsen and the private in-room onsen were excellent. And of course, the view of Mount Fuji was super impressive! All Fufu hotels are designed with maximum customer privacy in mind. While the hotel is not right next to the coast of Lake Kawaguchiko but is instead "hidden" in a valley, the feeling of being inside a forest yet with Mount Fuji still highly visible, the picture is really surprisingly next level! A perfect, perfect stay overall!Guest review byKoon HoUnited States
- From US$1,210.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 112 reviewsEach room has a view of the Kofu Basin, Mt fuji. Mesmerising view of the city after sundown, made me sit there and gaze upon the landscape. Truly one of the top 3 "new" views of Japan. Onsen has a good view of Mt Fuji, reccomended to go during sunrise or sundown to gaze upon the city. Should have booked with meals as there are minimal places open early in the morning. Free coffee is avaliable in the morning at the front terrace of the hotel, which you could sit and gaze upon the city and sunrise.Guest review byMarcusSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsThe location was fantastic. The views from the rooms were awesome. We woke up to the sight of Mount Fuji. The host was very friendly and nice, and my boys had a great time cycling in the area to the views of Mount Fuji. Very accessible, and the amenities were great. Will definitely return!Guest review byLuwenSingapore

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 35 reviewsFor a single room it was fairly spacious compared to other single rooms I've had before. The whole bathroom is higher which is a little weird but not a problem, maybe if you're elderly this would be an issue, otherwise the room was fine, comfy bed.Guest review byKellyAustralia

We were able to take great pictures of Mt Fuji from our window. The onsen and buffet was great. The price was affordable for a group of 8 with free breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and Yukata was included. Highly recommendedGuest review byMiyoUnited States - 10.0
I recommend staying.
I recommend staying. I wrote a long review separately which I hope is useful; please refer to that. In addition, for young children, you can visit the sheep shed where they keep the sheep to see sheep up close, wander down and the up the hill behind reception, and get the best tasting soft serve ever from the restaurant!Guest review byDavinosJapan - 10.0

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 8.0
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek.
We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek. There were some tourists, but not very many. It was good to have a car to explore. We went to -Kofu Castle Ruins (peak bloom time!) -Yamanashi Fruit Park -Maglev Exhibition Center We ate at -TREE Anthony's Kitchen (AMAZING Greek Food) -Kaosen Thai (eh)Guest review byPena - 10.0

Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.Guest review byVillageOneJapan - 8.0

Automatic check-in & check-out process, good point for those who love automation. There is always staff supporting this step. Breakfast is disappointing, has limited options, no fresh fruits. Close to the station and good noise isolation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect.
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect. Nice town, beautiful view of Mt Fuji. For an outdoor enthusiast, this town is perfect. It got mountains, nice enough for day hike. it got caves, lakes, old tunnel turn into a museum, ropeway, halal restaurant. I just love Fujikawaguchiko and its beauty.Guest review byZelaMalaysia - 10.0

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hrGuest review byLiCanada - 10.0

If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. Incredibly serene and quieter than areas like Hakone. ( Hakone is VERY beautiful but tons of tourist)Guest review byElianaUnited States
