Very nice and cosy hotel in Anuradhapura. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The staff super friendly and the food very good. It was one of the best Hotels we stayed in while in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere was very calm and cozy. Would definetely stay there again. :)

Don't hesitate - book it! Maho is a pure, peaceful treasure, newly built with all amenities you need & a beautiful pool. It's very quiet & idyllic there. Best bathroom we had in Sri Lanka & always hot water. The bed is pure heaven! Located directly near the old city :) Hosts & staff are priceless - they go above & beyond to ensure a perfect stay! They even look for the best prices in trips & transportation & will tell you everything 100 % transparentely. Food was veeery tasty! Breakfast is included & they additionally offer lunch & dinner as well. It was really hard to leave this stunning place & everyone working there! We even extended our stay. Thank you for everything! Our 3rd time in Sri Lanka was a lot more perfect with staying here :D

It was only a one-night stay but really a great experience. We were received with a cold drink and even had the chance to go to the lake for a walk and see animals. The dinner was delicious and the next morning the safari was a great experience, we saw leopards and that really made my day. Nice hospitality and good communication in order to make all the plans. Would recommend a stay here without any doubts and Wilpattu is a great National Park.

Arachchi Heritage is an architectural marvel combining Sri Lankan tradition with a sleek, modern design and much attention to detail in a beautiful setting at the lake shore. With only 3 tastefully decorated rooms to rent it has a very private and exclusive feel to it. We loved relaxing in the open lounge area by the pool with a nice cup of tea or cold drinks. The hospitality of the owners and staff made it feel like a home away from home. The freshly made to order food was delicious.

The owner gave me very accurate advice for every circumstance:) the family is very nice, feel very cozy staying there. Every offer, such as accommodation cost, Tuktuk fee going around ancient city, taxi from airport, are very reasonable that is well-considered for tourist to spend not too much money. The welcome and the service that we received were exceptional - unrivalled by any other hotel visited during three weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were genuinely happy that we were their guest, and they were not afraid to show it. From the moment we arrived, they did everything and more to make sure that we were comfortable. The central courtyard garden lent the hotel an idyllic cosy community feel and allowed us to feel nicely isolated from the bustle of the streets outside. The pool area was scenic, the pool functional, and there were a bunch of sun beds from which to capture the sun as it moved above the tree line. One of us fell ill during our stay. The manager offered to take us to the hospital, assisted us there, and the entire team attended to us tirelessly day after day - including complimentary afternoon tea in our room. Bicycles were available to borrow to get around and see the various fascinating heritage sites - and we'd really recommend using them! Breakfast was predominantly Euro-continental, incredibly generous, and tastier than anything else we had in Sri Lanka outside of 5* hotels. Dinner was tasty too. The menu was diverse and competitively priced. Table service was exquisite. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and secure. The location was great - perfectly situated for exploring town, set back from the road so as to be silent at night, and with quick access to the lake on foot. A beautiful gaggle of peacocks graces the gardens. The hotel arranged our onward travel to Trincomalee in a comfortable car at a competitive price.

I recently stayed at The triangle hotel and was impressed with my overall experience. The hotel’s location was convenient, with several local attractions and dining options within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, with modern furnishings and a cozy bed that made for a restful stay. The housekeeping staff did a great job of maintaining the cleanliness throughout my visit. The bathroom was well-equipped with fresh towels and quality toiletries. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, quickly addressing any requests or concerns I had. I appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi and the option to enjoy a delicious breakfast each morning. One minor downside was the noise level from the street, which could be a bit disruptive at times. However, it didn’t detract significantly from my overall experience. For the price, I felt that The triangle hotel offered good value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would certainly consider staying here again.

The hotel Heritage in Anuradhapura was located in a very calm and serine environment facing the lake. The hotel premises was well maintained. The friendly service rendered by the hotel staff was beyond our expectations. Our room was clean tidy and spacious. Foods were very fresh and delicious. Mr.Hemantha, the FMB manager welcomed us to the restaurant in a great manner. The way he handled the restaurant staff in order to provide an effective service to the guests was admirable. The CEO, Mr.Sumith Wijesinghe was very friendly and supportive. We witnessed how he personally paid attention to guests by going round tables during meal times and speaking to them very cheerfully. Music at the lake side dinner was amazing. Highly appreciate the efficient service rendered by the hotel under the guidance and supervision of Mr.Wijesinghe. Highly recommend the Hotel Heritage. Hope to stay there again in our next visit to Anuradhapura.

We upgraded to the A-frame tree house with a private pool a few days before arrival, and it was the best decision. The pool was the perfect size to cool off for our family of five. We loved our stay here. While this hotel might be a bit further from Sigiriya, they organised a driver in a safari jeep to take us where we needed to go. We also went on a game drive to a nearby national park, which was amazing; we saw so many elephants. You can walk into some local shops as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were really good—best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful place. Isolated from the town but the location is beautiful. You can ride bike around the rice field and lake. If you’re lucky see an elephant. The woman at the elephant centre was very nice and we learnt a lot! I am glad we stop for a chat. The diner experience was amazing! We booked the traditional diner with 27 dishes cooked traditionally in clay pot and open fire. I recommend this hotel!

It’s a lovely place. Rooms are big and comfortable, staff is really friendly and eager to help. Both Ala’carte and normal food were fine. Locationwise its close to Sigiriya and Hurulu Eco Park. During my stay, the property owner made several inappropriate and judgmental comments about my affordability and my decision to share meals with my mother, who is disabled. His behaviour was rude and discriminatory. After I posted my review describing my disappointment, the owner contacted me directly on my personal mobile number using very abusive and offensive language. This message was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe.

Habarana is a small town located at a crossroads and a main road. It is therefore very accessible to other important cities, such as Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, etc. As well as to the natural parks, which are located nearby. Public transport is perfectly provided. The town has the necessary facilities such as shops, a bank, a post office, a doctor, etc. The beautiful surrounding nature, and easily accessible lakes, are also an advantage.

Not good not fair over change for food n breakfast n vegetarian dinner They said 5000/=rupees change nearly 8000/= with out breakfast Over charge for water bottles Tea and breakfast Every thing not reasonable Please consider

We loved our Homestay chez Olivia . Lovely couple very hospitable and helpful. Hired bikes which was wonderful to go see all the Stupa sites etc. beautiful area & lovely garden. Birdlife was fabulous. Highly recommend

Farm Cottage was peaceful and very comfortable. The room was clean and cozy, and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The host was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to unwind – I’d definitely stay again!

Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place.

Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place. It's different from the other sites in Sri Lanka because it still attracts so many pilgrims to its religious sites. It's a good idea to dedicate one day to visiting the active pilgrimage sites and the next to the historical sites, for which you need a ticket. Remember to cover up with long trousers and sleeves and don't forget your socks, because the ground is really hot and you have to take off your shoes everywhere. If you have an extra day, you can also return to the sites at night, which is when pilgrims light candles. Make sure you've got the Pick Me app installed and look out for a tuk tuk driver called Nisha. He's absolutely amazing: great driver, kind and attentive and with good English. For dinner, the atmospheric Hotel Shalini is a good bet. The Seedevi family restaurant is another good place. If you want to have a beer, they can put you in a separate 'family' room, or you can go to the tiny 'pub' next door.

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..
