Amazing hotel with stunning views ! We came here for our honeymoon and the place is like a hidden gem in the mountains ! The pool area and the restaurant were our favorite spots because of the views! The staff were very attentive, they even do the laundry free of charge. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The hotel is close to downtown, if you need a taxi or Tuk tuk they order it for you. We love staying here and would love to come back .

We had a very good experience during our one-night stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service, accommodating all our needs, especially with food. All the staff members were helpful and attentive. There is also a bakery next to the hotel that sells delicious cakes — definitely worth a visit! I would like to especially mention a few individuals who made our stay even more pleasant: Manager: Mr. Tharanga Receptionists: Miss Neluni and Miss Sachini Thank you for the warm hospitality!

This is an exceptional accommodation option in Ella! Not only it has nice & clean room, excellent view but the owner is the person who’d make your stay! willing to help with everything, pick you up or drive within Ella in his tuktuk or even wake up in the morning with you to drive you to Little Adam’s peak for sunrise. And icing on the cake is the huge breakfast served right at your patio full of fresh fruits, local meals and hot coffee. We weren’t even able to finish it all :( Even though the accommodation is located a little bit further from Ella’s main street, thanks to the owner’s perfect care we didn’t even noticed. Thank you and hope to come back soon! 💚

This was my second time at Vantage Hills and reason is the absolutely superb view and hospitality. I honestly was looking for an alternative, just to be able to explore a new place, but could not find one with such an unique location. We've stayed in the new cabana, so even closer to the tea terraces. You can just sit on your balcony, sip cup of tea and and watch the beautiful scenery. Sooner or later, you can be sure to spot pickers plucking the tea by hand. If you fancy a walk, you just need to step out of your room and you can roam thru endless tea terraces at your will. The best part of the stay is having breakfast on the large terrace where you can immerse yourself in endless mountain views. You can also visit nearby Kelliebedde Tea Factory for a nice informative tea production tour, and refresh yourself in their lovely Tea Lounge. All in all, I like this place and location for keeping its authenticity. If you miss touristic hustle and bustle, Ella is a short drive from here.

Ella is a beautiful place for hiking and scenic views. We prefer less crowded places which you can get here once you’re out walking, but the main strip here is over developed and too noisy, with loads of bars souvenir shops etc, Some people might love it, but the traffic pollution in the Main Street is quite bad too, I guess it’s only going to get worse over the years as you can see the new buildings going up everywhere where there’s a spare piece of land. However, despite this, I’d still return as it’s so beautiful, just stay as far away as you can from the main strip! The hikes here are incredible, enjoy exploring them Cool place to eat next to the train track on waterfall road, up the hill with tasty food, cheaper prices, good vibes and plays reggae music,

A gorgeous, not too busy location with spectacular views across the mountains. The guesthouse was comfortable and run by a lovely , friendly family. We had a fantastic stay, we could’ve stayed longer!

The climate was cool and the views were spectacular.

The climate was cool and the views were spectacular. Best place to shop for groceries and fresh produce is Cargill Opposite the old post office in the town centre. Had difficulty in finding Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. And almost impossible to find places that offer freshly brewed Ceylon tea. People are friendly and willing to help. Accomodation is cheaper in Bandarawela. Hence it makes sense to base your self here and explore neighbouring places like Ella, Diyathlawe and Haputale .

Badulla is an up and coming tourist destination.

Badulla is an up and coming tourist destination. It has much to offer but for now is excellent for those wishing to spend time in the hills and and away from the razzmatazz of Ella or the tried and tested Nuwara Eliya.

Almost everything.

Almost everything. Location was close to Horton Plains and the owners arranged a tuk tuk ride for a nominal fee. Lovely surrounding. Food was tasty and ample given. Really worth it. Owners were friendly and made the guests feel at home.

A busy compact town with a young, hip vibe. Prices are reasonable, weather can be a bit wetter and cooler than other parts of Sri Lanka. We loved the tea plantation and factory visit, as well as waterfalls and nine arch bridge. We were very lucky to see a train crossing (Dec18th 2025)as the recent landslides mean no current passenger carrying trains are running. Hopefully this is a sign that they may be back in service soon

Haputale is a breathtaking hill town surrounded by lush tea estates and misty mountains. We stayed at Benito Bungalow by The Serendipity Collection, where the in-house chef prepared fresh and delicious meals every day. The cool climate, scenic views, and peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind. It’s quieter and less touristy than other hill stations, which adds to its charm. A true hidden gem in Sri Lanka!

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all...

Even though My stay in Badulla was too short to visit all the beautiful places, the trip to Dunhida waterfall was a great experience, especially for kids. The path to Dunhida might be difficult for someone. I believe it was a very nice experience to walk through the jungle. Once you see the waterfall, you will forget all the tiredness.

Ella has an amazing vibe, it’s a very tourist-friendly place and a perfect base for daily hiking trips. It’s very different from other Sri Lankan cities and definitely worth a visit. But if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, choose accommodation slightly outside the center to avoid the noise
