We just spent one night, but agreed we could have stayed longer. The hotel was very calm and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and neat. The room we had next to the pool was very nice, and offered a nice little terace to relax on. We did not get a chance to jump in the pool, but it looked very good and the area arround it cozy with sunbeds and hammocks. The best about the place was definately the staff. Amazing service level and just so very, very nice people. If we are ever around in Polonnaruwa, we are returning here.

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. He tooked care of us and for everything that we needed, giving us recommendations, sharing with us delicious meals, inspiring conversations and moments that will remain with us forever. We had the best stay here in Sri Lanka so far! It was my boyfriends birthday and I only asked for a fruit basket to surprise him, but the staff had decorated our room with balloons and they sang happy birthday to him. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with arranging a safari. Which we can also recommend because we saw lots of elephants from very close. Also the hotel it self is very nice. The pool and the room were lovely. We had a very nice sleep in the comfy bed. So we definitely recommend staying here!

Gorgeous hotel very close to Polonnaruwa Ancient City and the perfect place to stay after a sunny day of exploring. The pool is very relaxing and the garden is full of beautiful plants (and some visiting animals like birds and lizards :) ) the staff is super kind, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is great and I had chicken kottu for dinner here which was huge and very tasty. We also had the best juices here :) Bed is comfortable and the room is big, even has a vanity table which was pretty nice. Balcony is also big, with a clothing rack to dry your swimwear a d towel.

This was one of the best stays in all our trip to Sri Lanka. Amazing views and services, also amazing staff. Suput was all the time taking care of us, of every detail, also amazing table service. Nethmi and Buddini were also amazing staff, being flexible and trying to solve every request. We asked for a “candlelight dinner” as a special ocasion and they did an amazing job preparing a private dinner in the garden. Rooms are big and beautiful with so many details, all clean and soft. The hotel has activities you can do as kayaking, cooking classes, etc. Also has a beautiful swimming pool, they even let you towels. Breakfast is good and big, we tried only the Sri Lankan, we can’t tell about the others. The check-in and welcoming was very good, the only thing i’d say it’s the little massage should be done in another place, not the lobby. We’d repeat if we could go back to Polonnaruwa anytime.

We really enjoyed this place. The view is amazing and all the staff was very, very nice and helpfull. The receptionist helped us with all the trips and transfers. A big plus is that you can take the buffet meal, with all kind of local and international food. And the monkeys...that is a real experience to wake up with the monkeys in your balcony :-) We even had a local wedding, very interesting for us! Thank you guys!

The hotel has an amazing pool surrounded by nature and a very good view of the Lake. We had two times the dinner and breakfast, which was very tasty. Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

I want to stay a bit longer there, as the place is naturally very peaceful. On the way, we stopped at a restaurant near a lake, which is also a good place to touch the nature. Luckily, we saw a wild elephant wandering in the lake from that place. On the way back from Minneyriya, we saw two wild elephants who were trying to cross the road. Lovely to see them from the car. A person who loves to see elephants should go Minneriya.

Amazing, smaller national park.

Amazing, smaller national park. More of a wild, intimate experience than it's massively over subscribed cousins. We were in very close contact with a family of elephants, (including baby) for at least 20 mins before another jeep arrived, and then it was only just the two vehicles.

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the...

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has a lot to offer to the tourists who want to know about the history of Sri Lanka. It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Definitely a trip to add to your bucket list.

Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks in Sri Lanka. Fairly priced entrance fee, guide joins you on the jeep, but optional to tip them. Ours was superb and pointed out many things we would have missed otherwise.

The ancient ruins are a wonder to visit. Some great knowledgeable guides available. A few crooks about aggressively selling their Tuk Tuk and bicycle hire to be beware of. Our guide was sadly threatened and intimidated by these bullysome men.
