Everything ☺️ The staff are super helpful and don’t mind spending time to explain things and impart knowledge. We arrived after lunch time due to rain delays, and the manager made a plan for lunch without making us feel we were a bother. Delicious food 😋 and comfortable accommodation 👍🏻 A definite must stay when en route or even a few days to relax next to the pool. The garden is lush and tranquil 🌹🙏🏼

Because it is located very close to the main road, access is extremely convenient. The place has a pleasant and attractive surrounding enviornment. Although it is close to the road, there was no noise disturbance at all. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, they have thier own resturant, so there is no need to worry about meals. The rooms are comfortable, well organized and kept very clean.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation in a beautiful setting. A very welcoming and helpful host who arranged travel from Colombo Airport as well as transportation to local sites and onward travel. We were served a delicious dinner and breakfast. Lovely stay.

we felt very welcomed every day the table for us was placed in the garden; always fresh flowers the hotel has an interesting architectural concept with imitation of local ruins style: dark terracotta bricks, moon stones... very calm atmosphere, even with events there were no noise at all we were very exited to see Sri Lankan wedding in the hotel, all that beautiful guests like a bunch of colourful flowers. I was totally amused seeing bride invitation Kandyan dance, thanks to the hotel team who kindly invited us to see it, I appreciate it a lot the place is well managed; Mr Buwa is very professional and reliable manager, we felt cared about

Clean, Comfortable, and Family-Friendly – Just Like Our Own Home Our stay at Honey Tree Polonnaruwa was wonderful! The pool was crystal clear and even had a safe area for small children. With only six rooms, the atmosphere was quiet and private — perhaps the only hotel in Polonnaruwa with a pool for such a small number of guests. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money!

Hard to find much fault . Nice,pool, comfortable rooms, amazing helpful and kind staff. Our breakfasts and dinners were superb. Recommended. Air conditioning worked fine . Bed was comfortable and It was a quiet environment so we all slept well. Wi Fi good. They were able to supply driver accommodation which was appreciated.

Great place to explore the ancient city as well as safaris...

Great place to explore the ancient city as well as safaris in Minniyera NP, Habarana NP and Kurulu Eco Park. You can easily cycle through the ancient city and there are plenty of tour guides available to take you through the city.

I want to stay a bit longer there, as the place is naturally very peaceful. On the way, we stopped at a restaurant near a lake, which is also a good place to touch the nature. Luckily, we saw a wild elephant wandering in the lake from that place. On the way back from Minneyriya, we saw two wild elephants who were trying to cross the road. Lovely to see them from the car. A person who loves to see elephants should go Minneriya.

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the...

This is a far better place to stay due to the quality of the resort than in Polonnaruwa. A guest could stay here for many days as the ground are huge and relaxing. Pool and spa are kept spotless by a dedicated person that has been doing ot proudly for over 21 years.

Amazing, smaller national park.

Amazing, smaller national park. More of a wild, intimate experience than it's massively over subscribed cousins. We were in very close contact with a family of elephants, (including baby) for at least 20 mins before another jeep arrived, and then it was only just the two vehicles.

Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. There was also an older gentleman selling Neem & Jamun tree wood containers and tumblers for keeping water in the night and drinking in the morning Neem for better all over health & Jamun for decreasing blood sugar.

Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks...

Lovely national park, clean, quiet compared to other parks in Sri Lanka. Fairly priced entrance fee, guide joins you on the jeep, but optional to tip them. Ours was superb and pointed out many things we would have missed otherwise.

The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has a lot to offer to the tourists who want to know about the history of Sri Lanka. It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Definitely a trip to add to your bucket list.
