Excelent hotel with a great location and ambience! The hotel is right in the middle of the trail, so if you are doing that we could not choose a better location. The staff was super friendly and speak Portuguese! The room was modern and clean. The food from the restaurant was amazing!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was beyond expectations – the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and varied, and the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They really made me feel welcome and taken care of throughout my stay. The atmosphere was relaxing and everything was kept very clean and comfortable.     Wow what a wonderful establishment! Staying on the river itself has such a magical feeling and then the rooms just add to that. Very clean and modern with a few vintage touches here and there which draws on the hotel's wonderful history. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.     The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic.

    The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic. Highly recommend taking the time to see the exhibition before touring the chateau. We also took the chairlift up to the high viewing point and had a few drinks. Not the cheapest but nowhere in Luxembourg is cheap. The views were great and it was worth the trip. We also visited the newly refurbished open air swimming pool which the kids loved and added a bit of relaxation to the trip. It was very clean and well maintained. The town itself has plenty of bars and restaurants to sample during a short stay, especially the ones with views over the river

    Berdorf is my favorite go-to location if I wanna go on a hiking weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where I live, so very doable for a weekendtrip. The entire Echternach region in beautiful (check out the Mullerthal Trail), but the region around Berdorf is especially beautiful. The forests around Berdorf all have those typical rock formations with stairs and ladders, little chasms etc that really make it so much more interesting than a normal forest hike. The town itself is very small and is really just meant to spend the night in between two days of heavy hiking.

    People cannot visit the castle but there are two expositions...

    People cannot visit the castle but there are two expositions: one about Second World War (not my favorite topic) and the other about castles in Luxembourg. This last one is very useful to plan your (next) trip to Luxembourg, since some of those castles are interesting. The old church is really worth to visit.

    We want to thank Olivier for the help he give when my partner was falling from the stairs outside in the evening and Olivier called the ambulance and take care for my partner all the time. Also Olivier is a great doglover and he give our dog some special dogfood, that was a nice surprise for our dog . all the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much for them if you want something.     The town is very nice and the castle is fantastic! Had a pizza one night as recommended by the Hotel Victor Hugo staff and it was excellent. Also enjoyed two dinners at the hotel, which were very good.

    A nice little town, easily accessed by train from Luxembourg Ville, as well as Belgium. The town is nestled amongst lovely natural scenery - based in the valley walking up to the top of one of the hills gives a lovely change of view to either forest or grass lands with horizons. The town had several restaurants and one bakery. All a bit expensive but no more so than in the capital Luxembourg Ville. There is piped music in the pedestrian street which is odd. Other than that it's a lovely tranquil place.

    Bollendorf is in a nice setting but the town has few facilities, and speaking to locals it appears much of the tourist business has been damaged by a combination of COVID lockdowns and the devastating floods in 2021.

The castle is lit up and looks as if it’s floating in the air! The church is lit up and looks so pretty and you can hear the chimes during the day. There’s lots of birds around ! The views are wow! There are lots of paths to hike, to castles towns and s long the river! Not enough culture. Well you can catch the train from Michalue to Luxembourg it’s free! So are the buses. The architecture and colours and hanging baskets are so pretty.
