Grilling space just near the entry door, hidden from the street by bushes. A stork nest at the corner of the property - they clacked their beaks, happy about some offspring. All in all - while quite in the center of the settlement/village - the stay and grilling is isolated from prying eyes. Three corner-shops withing some 200 meters/yards.

It was nice, cosy, well ventilated. The kitchen had lots of untensils and dishes. The owners are very laid back and sweet, both the lady on the phone and the man we met the next morning :)

A very special location. Wonderfully peaceful. We enjoyed walking in the woods and also sitting on the decking birdwatching and enjoying the view. The cabin is very well insulated and the air conditioning is very good. The staff were very friendly and quick to find a solution when we reported a problem with the plumbing.

If you're not a princess on the pea - a perfect place to...
If you're not a princess on the pea - a perfect place to stay and visit the nearby Tērvetes dabas parks.
The house we stayed at is a good mix between a village and city-house. E.g. the hot water is not "on tap", some electric or the like heater. Otherwise - I'd call it "a wooden decor" - perhaps not meant to live in in the winter, but quite charming for the other seasons.
Some corners cut, but can be seen that craftsmanship was applied to both the in- and exterior. Not for you, if you expect a spa/all things pampered experience, but very comfortable for a cottage-like stay, while being in the center of a "city" at the same time.
Not aware if there's a full-fledged hotel - likely not, but a good stay to visit Tērvete - some 17 kilometers with one turn.
