Art Place was the last stop on our 20 day trip through Morocco, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service and ambience was impeccable. We were greeted by reception with some fresh hot tea and pastries and then given a tour of the facilities. The beauty of the common areas, pool, and rooms took our breath away. Our room was luxurious, with the architecture, decor, and comfortable king bed. The shower was amazing, with good pressure and quality soaps, shampoos, etc. The breakfasts were the best we had in the country, with a huge selection of Moroccan and European selections... there was even an omelet bar. The wait staff anticipated our every need, bringing us fresh coffee and juices on the beautiful balcony. We ate lunch poolside, and that was an equally delicious experience. The location could not be better, right on the main square in the Medina, yet it was a quiet and peaceful oasis inside the walls of the Riad.

We'd like to wholeheartedly thank you for our stay at Dar Rhizlane, which was an utterly enchanting experience. Beyond the breathtakingly beautiful interiors, their design, style, cleanliness, and the delectable cuisine, it was the incredible staff that truly made our time wonderful. Their dedication to fulfilling our wishes, discretion, culture, and the highest level of service were simply unparalleled. We especially want to thank Ms. Fatima for her patience in accommodating our needs and her exceptional organization, Ms. Soukaina for her delightful smile, warmth, kindness, and grace, as well as Ms. I Kram, Fatiha, and Soumeya. We sincerely recommend this place as a source of the most beautiful memories one can have during a stay in Morocco. Iwona i Dariusz

Marrakesh is an assist on the senses .

Marrakesh is an assist on the senses . The Jewish centre is amazing for herbalists and spices ,full of life and colour ,genuine local people ,not pushy and happy to see you . Shop there for oils, coffee ,spices as much cheaper and they grind them up in front of you ,amazing . The medina is something to behold but the noise levels are off the scale and to much after awhile . It’s expensive and they’re quite rude in the stores if you want to haggle the prices down and will literally tell you to get out if they don’t like your offer … very rude That aside explore the city away from the centre because it’s a cultural explosion

Agafay is recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Morocco beyond the bustling cities. Just a short drive from Marrakech, Agafay offers a desert landscape with a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking to unwind in desert camps, ride camels across golden dunes, or enjoy a magical sunset over the vast desert, Agafay has something for everyone. The warmth and hospitality of the locals make it an unforgettable experience, and the unique blend of nature and culture creates a perfect getaway. For those seeking adventure, relaxation, or a mix of both, Agafay might be a perfect destination. I highly recommend adding it to your travel plans – it’s an authentic spot that will leave you with lasting memories.

On arrival we checked in they told us they would let us

On arrival we checked in they told us they would let us know if the room was ready! We waited two hours ordering two lattes in the meantime that definitely weren't lattes more like sugary coffee water with no milk we then went to check an they took us down there was no sun lounges on the cabin we booked which is advertised in the photos there was building work going on in the cabin behind us so we asked to get some loungers brought down so we had something to enjoy the sun in! Considering we paid £200 we waited maybe an hour before anyone came down there was cigarette butts around the pool that we had been checked into on our private room neither me nor my partner smoke so was dissapointed as we hate this. They then came down an told us to move cabin so we moved to the one in front hurrying to get our stuff back in suitcase and down to the second room forgetting some of our belongings we then go back to check if we left there an gone (someone had collected them an not informed us even though they literally moved us in the 10minute period so took some of our belongings to reception without telling us). Our new cabins half the decking had collapsed and fallen through and been covered up with a rug 3 floor boards we're sticking in the air that I tripped and hurt my ankle on. The new cabin had a bath with no bath Matt and no bath plug so it was a weird bath with a hand held shower which is difficult to wash in! We didn't really understand. The next day we had hairs in our food that we ordered I informed staff an they replaced the food I noticed another hair in the second food an couldn't be asked to complain again also the tea in the morning tasted like it had salt in! Either they didn't like us or the attention to detail really isn't there. Loooks great on Instagram an update at the view but the detail is missing things and the health an safety!

Marrakech can feel chaotic at first, especially in the old town where you meet all kinds of street vendors and the usual small hustlers. But overall, both the city and the medina felt safe and surprisingly welcoming. The city goes quiet around midnight, which is great if you’re not into loud nightlife or drinking. There’s no special attitude toward non-locals — tourists are treated with calculated respect, and even the hustlers try to avoid real trouble. Reputation matters here. The city is alive, real, and not pretending to be something it isn’t. It’s tourist-oriented, but locals actually live and work here, so you can fully experience Moroccan culture. The best food we had was fish — all the fancy spots failed to impress, while local places were the winners. We even took home a tea set after falling in love with their tea culture. There’s plenty of trade, sometimes with confusing prices, and transport is the only thing that can really stress you out. If you rent a car, get full coverage — no question about it.
