- From US$46.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 103 reviewsThis riad is so full of history, character and atmosphere. The 4 very generous ground floor bedrooms are accessed from the central courtyard / eating area. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. We were lucky enough to be able to eat there one evening and it was one of the best meals we had during our 2 week stay in Morocco. We tried unsuccessfuly to buy train tickets online from Meknès to Fes and when we expressed concern about not succeeding (it was a busy week with schools children on holiday), the manager Issam offered to go down to the train station himself to buy them for us, although it proved anything but straight forward even for him. Great location with easy access to the Mausoleum, Royal Palace area and MedinaGuest review byFelicityFrance
- From US$208.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 205 reviewsWe had a nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. It’s conveniently located near minimarkets, which was great for quick purchases. A particularly nice touch was the presence of a sandbox/play area for kids—it made it easier to relax while the little ones had fun. The property has good features like a dual shower and dryer, although the bathroom space was a bit tight. There were also a few ants near the entrance, which could be improved. Still, the positives outweighed the small issues, and we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly setup. Would recommend for families looking for a practical and comfortable stay.Guest review byKabeerUnited States
- From US$75.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 363 reviewsThe beautiful riad resides in a wonderfully refurbished historic building in the old town. The courtyard is like in a picture book with a small fountain and a palm tree in the middle and amazing decorations made of wood carvings, mosaique and plastering. You can relax on the rooftop in sun loungers to enjoy the great view onto the tower of the grand mosque and also refresh in the small pool. The Riad is located close to the main Hedim square with the Bab El Mansour. The room is bright and well decorated. The great maroccan breakfast is offered in the courtyard starting at 8.Guest review byMartinGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 690 reviewsThis is the most beautiful riad and a perfect setting in the middle of the medina! It is clean, the rooms are big and beautiful - biggest bathroom and shower we've seen in 2 week in Morocco. The dinner is extra, but a MUST! It is like an oasis in the medina!Guest review byMARIANNESouth Africa

Interesting medina, market and main square.
Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gateGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10
A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility
A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility Nestled far from the hustle and bustle of modern cities, this town offers a serene retreat into a simpler, more peaceful way of life. The charm of the town lies in its timeless atmosphere, where modernity is far from the priority. Here, life moves at a slower pace. The architecture of Moulay Idriss mosque is nothing short of breathtaking, The intricate tiles and majestic arches tell stories of a rich cultural heritage, while the fountains within the mosque add a sense of tranquility and spiritual serenity. It’s a place where you can spend hours marveling at the craftsmanship and feeling completely at peace. The landscapes are equally captivating, with vast stretches of olive trees dotting the hillsides. What makes this town even more special is its people — respectful , down to earth and welcoming, they embody the warmth of a culture that values tradition and hospitality. There’s no fuss here, just a genuine sense of community.Guest review byNorMorocco - 6.0

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream. Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum. Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.Guest review byDonnaCanada - 10
Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that...
Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.Guest review byJaneSouth Africa
