You’ll enjoy the calm of the place, and Margaux is truly the perfect host to guide you through Taroudant. A special mention goes to the homemade food prepared with fresh, local ingredients, a real taste of Morocco. And you absolutely must try the traditional Hammam heated with real wood fire, as well as Feri’s massage — an unforgettable experience. I’m looking forward to come back with friends and familly and I highly recommend La Maison Taroudant and explore more Taroudant and its surroundings which are full of charm and authenticity.

United KingdomThis hotel is lovely. The location is great - just ten minutes' walk from the CTM/grand taxi station, and five minutes from the cafes and restaurants in the main square. The rooms are impeccably clean and very comfortable. The showers are excellent with plenty hot water. There is a really lovely roof terrace for when you need to escape the bustle of the streets. The staff are lovely. In short, these guys are absolutely smashing it! I would definitely return, and recommend this place without reservations. And if you've not been to Taroudant, you've not been to Morocco.

I had a fantastic two days at the Hotel Riad ,,tje manager Mohammed was so welcoming when i arrived it was like I was returning to my home, On arrival he brought me a lovely mint tea which I enjoyed as I traveled on a bus and it was just what I needed, All the staff that I met were so wonderful and friendly , Lovely pool if you wish to swim ,,and breakfast is served till 11am which was a bonus as I eat breakfast late in London,
So I can highly recommend this Hotel Riad if visiting that Area which was my first to that area and not my Last ,,,I have been traveling to Morocco for about 30 years ,,Thank you all for making my stay so memorable

This place developed on unconventional hotel lines was a perfect peaceful oasis on the edge of the desert outside Taroudant. We were met efficiently off the plane in Agadir (extra cost) and driven smoothly to the hotel, a journey of c. 1 hour. The hotel was idyllically situated in its own landscaped ecogarden with exotic trees and other vegetations, peacocks, tortoises, innumerable cats and 2 natural pools though too cold to swim. Rooms were comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated with ethnic themes. Open olive wood fires available in rooms and main restaurant. All staff well trained, courteous and helpful. Meals and service of a uniformly high quality.

Absolut peaceful oasis with beautiful maintained, tropical gardens, lovely outside seating areas which we could still use in the evenings in January because very effective gas heaters were provided. Not only was it warm but the fire, together with the lit up trees, created a very atmospheric ambiance.The highlight was the attached animal park with a selection of African and South American animals as well as stables with beautiful Arabian horses. Food was excellent with a super breakfast in the morning.It’s a quick transfer from Agadir airport and will take about 45 minutes into Agadir centre.

This was probably our best stay in our road trip. The room was very spacious with nice furniture, it even had a desk and a chair and with very nice bathrooms, for Morrocco, and with amazing common spaces, that the guests can use, inside the hotel, there is a very nice lounge room with a view to the mountains with sofas with wooden decoration all around the walls and also outside at the roof terrace, there is a sitting area for the guests with a majestic view. Also, we liked that our room had a lot of windows, all of them with view to the mountains. All in all, a very charming hotel.

The property is breathtaking ! A castle immersed in meticulously kept gardens and secret courtyards, a very well designed architecture, complemented by very tasteful decorations . The suite was huge, with beautiful furnishing and three bathing areas, the salon /dining room is spectacular: in a word, refined luxury everywhere.

Breakfest was amazing! There was a great choice of delicious local foods to try.
We didn't preorder dinner, but the staff was so kind that they offered us the opportunity to have dinner anyway. All the tadgines we tried were great!

My friend and I have been to Taroudant several times and we really enjoy embracing it. We enjoyed Taroudant, as we had just travelled from Marrakech which was very busy. We enjoyed our time, as we relaxed and then got a horse and carriage around Taroudant which we really enjoyed.
We will remember our trip to Taroudant for many years to come.

The kasbah is simply an absolutely beautiful place where you become immersed into the culture. Very genuine hospitality met us the minute we came through the gate and it did not take long to be welcomed with hot tea and enjoy.

The Host at the hotel was exceptional.
The Host at the hotel was exceptional. We couldn’t speak his language nor us, his, but he managed to show us how the property was before it was renovated. It is a stunning place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people...
The oasis is nice and you get to know how the local people live. Apart from wandring round there isn't much to do, but the place has its unique atmosphere which is worth experiencing. Getting there is an adventure though as the road is better suited for 4x4 cars, however we managed to get there with our rented car which wasn't 4x4 without any issues (Dacia Logan). The host is friendly and the food was nice.

We loved Taroudant, particularly the people who are so friendly! The wall surrounding the city is most impressive! I was expecting an older city however it all seems quite modern, to my eyes anyway. There are plenty of places to eat, just be aware that it is a predominantly alcohol free area, with only a couple of the more expensive places on the outskirts of the city selling wine etc. Unfortunately the local Berber souk had a big fire on our first day there so it was closed. The artisan souk was fab however you do have a bit of hassle at times but not excessive. It sold everything from leather work to jewellery, clothing, spices, and a lot of antique bits. Bartering is expected and necessary as a lot of prices, which you have to ask, are inflated so do your homework first if you want to buy anything.
We took an hours horse and carriage ride around the city which was well worth it. Check the horses carefully first though as some are better cared for than others. Taroudant is more of a stopover place than a holiday destination and could probably be covered in two full days. That said we were there for four days and had a wonderful relaxing time, mostly sitting in the square, sipping fresh mint tea and watching the world go by.

Interesting town with souks and a historical setting where Ali Baba the original film was shot .
A local man attached himself to us and ended up giving an informal guided tour. The restaurant we had a lunch was tasty and not expensive. We missed a horse candle cart tour offered at our hotel which would have been better use of our time and visit.
