Our stay at Hotel Ponta Plaza Conference & Spa was wonderful! The hotel is located in a picturesque spot with stunning sea views of the entire Bečići and Rafailovići coastline. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, with an elegant design, and every detail has been thoughtfully planned. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious and diverse. A special mention goes to the spa center with a pool and sauna for ultimate relaxation. The service is top-notch — super friendly and attentive staff, always ready to help. Additionally, the hotel offers convenient parking. The hotel is close to Budva and other attractions, making it an ideal place for a getaway. We will definitely return!

We stayed one week in the beautiful Premium Room with sea view and enjoyed every day to the fullest. We really recommend the room upgrade- the view is amazing and due to costruction work on the other hotels it seamed the best for us to have our room on the front side. The breakfast is good and the staff was really friendly and even provided special food if you asked for it (f.ex. Soy/ almond milk or egg varieties). We really enjoyed that it was very calm. Some Restaurants and bars weren‘t open yet (mid April), but there were not many tourists everywhere. Also in the hotel you could use the spa/ gym/ bar and didn’t have to wait- this might change at high season but the staff always gave their best to be fast and fulfill all wishes. The sea must be very nice in summer! A special thanks goes to Miloš from the reception who planned all our day tours with our rental car for us and gave the best secret information/ tips. We had unforgettable excursions and can’t decide what was the best - Miloš was always happy to see us, shared Details about living in Montenegro with us and even recommended restaurants. The whole team seamed very happy, smiled and had fun with each other- That‘s rare and gives a nice atmosphere. 12/10 we would recommend this hotel for relaxing + day rides to explore the incredible Country and nature + old towns! Thank you, Hotel Katamare-Team!

World class excellent hotel. Check in and check our process nice and easy. Location, state-of-the-art premises, super helpful staff, immaculate. Excellent and abundant breakfast with vegan options. Though the hotel was not fully booked, it seems that facilities have the proper dimensions when at full capacity. We really had a fantastic stay!

Host Ana was great, I hope that her that work will be recognized and valued. The hotel is perfect, clean and cozy. Budva can be reached by foot as it is approx. one hour walking distance along the beachside. Please note that we visited during the winter time so we believe that the situation might differ during summer. Would come back for sure :)

Really liked the small old town in Budva.

Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. There are lots of small food places there (selling pizza, sandwiches, byreks, cakes), which is great and absent in lots of these type of places.

Kotor has a very interesting Old Town located beneath an imposing fortress with fantastic views. It has gorgeous Cathedral of Kotor wih several smaller churches and chapels and a beautiful and large Serbian Orthodox Church from the beginning of 20th century. In the Old Town there is also a Maritime Museum, which is particularly recommended to visit. Nearby the Old Town is a small harbour where you can see beautiful sailboats. The town is pretty clean, but it needs more green spaces and trees. Also, there is a lack of quality promotional materials, guides and catalogues when it comes to churches, museums and other famous buildings in Kotor. Kotor is well connected by bus lines to other historically interesting cities nearby.

After spending some time in Tivat, living near Porto Montenegro — I can say it’s one of the most pleasant places I’ve stayed. The living here combines the best of a small coastal town and a lively, comfortable city. You get the sea, the yachts, the walking promenade, beautiful views of the bay and mountains — all just minutes from your apartment. Shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and everyday amenities are right nearby, making life easy and convenient. The climate, the sea breeze, the calm rhythms of life and friendly locals create a sense of peace and balance. It’s a perfect place if you want to be productive and at the same time enjoy relaxed Mediterranean living. For me — it’s a spot where hustle and comfort meet, where work and lifestyle find a smart balance. Tivat near Porto Montenegro feels like home and inspiration at the same time.

I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty! I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded. My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

I visited both Tivat and Kotor, but the Herceg Novi area is definitely the best place to stay around the Bay of Kotor: the most beautiful, cleanest, calmest, nicest vibe, better price level (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, etc.).

Ulcinj beach area is for the most part quite dirty and littered. There are people prepared to scam you readily. We did like the fortress area and found a cleaner beach near there (Liman Beach) that we quite liked.

The area of Becici was great for a nice beach holiday.

The area of Becici was great for a nice beach holiday. I didn’t like that every beach seemed to be allocated to a Hotel and we had to pay €30 for two beach lounges, but this was everywhere and I guess, just how it is done everywhere. We had a hire car so we were able to also visit Kotor, Tivat, Sveti Stefan and other areas, which were all within an easy drive. The exception being the major roadworks on the E65/80 to Tivat, but these will likely be completed by next summer.

Sutomore is a cozy and fairly quiet town, without much nightlife or loud activities — a great place for those who prefer a calm seaside rest. Just a small tip for travelers arriving from the airport: be careful when choosing a taxi, and it’s safer to use official ones.

Overall, a great place, every recommendation for the hotel. Great stuff, great food. Beautiful place, a lot of attention paid to nature. I was particularly impressed by the olive trees in the yard, and the attention paid to their preservation.

From the sveti stefan bus stop, it’s very easy to get around, buses to Budva Old Town run every 20 minutes, cost €2.5 one way, and take about 20 minutes. Taxi from Tivat airport is around €55–60 and takes about 40 minutes. For food, we often bought frozen homemade dishes from a Ukrainian shop in Budva, which were really tasty.
